“So in a Boston for a hockey game with wife. Met a great guy and his friend at dinner the night before. He insisted we go to Lucca the next night and would call Sean to help get us in as a favor. Absolutely wonderful! Was the best dining experience we have had in a very long time and we eat out and at nice places often. The servers were so kind and very delicate and strategic how they approached and removed things. I ordered the tenderloin. Came with potatoes, and mushrooms. Cleared my plate. I don’t eat mushrooms but for the first time did. So good! She had a shrimp pasta dish. Was cooked perfect! Appetizer was the short ribs that came with gnocchi. That was special also. Perfect flavor and the gnocchi was light and melted in your mouth. Wow! Dessert! That I can’t describe well but was a flower less chocolate cake with cream on top and a sugar that looked like twisted gold. Out of this world. We almost needed to be wheeled out! Last I needed to use the restroom. No idea where it was. The host staff literally walked me to it. Such a wonderful experience. Thank you Ray and thank you Sean!! This NYer will be back and shout your praises everywhere!!”

“We came here for a quick drink before going to dinner. I guess we came early where we were the only ones in the back/speakeasy section. The interior has this really inviting feel to it. It's pretty spacious and has an intimate feeling to it. The bartender was friendly and made my smoked old fashioned for me before working on preparing other items for later.”

“Talk about hospitality, dbar was so wonderful. Rob was amazing, he got us seated in the beautiful outdoor patio and proceeded to drag over 3 heaters to make sure we were warm and comfortable. Since the the server inside was slammed he took our orders and was our server. His suggestions were delicious and on point. Despite the freezing weather and his tshirt, he checked on us frequently and made sure we were cozy. We had the "grow a pear", "spicy orange margarita" and sangria and they were absolutely delicious drinks. Not too sweet and perfectly spiced. I'm very picky about my cocktails especially about the sweetness. These were delicately balanced and had a lovely heat that was perfect for the chilly weather outside. The apps: burrata, mussels and calamari. Very good! The mains: chicken enchiladas and steak were excellently cooked. Beautiful. I don't usually leave reviews. But if the service and product are more than praiseworthy, they deserve recognition.”

“We got reservations for around 10 people the same day we were planning to visit. They called to confirm what kind of seating do we prefer. Parking in the area might be an issue. The place itself is very big, has pool table, small dance floor and good music. After 9, the place turns into a crowded bar with people dancing on the dance floor. Food and alcohol menu are limited but good food and drinks altogether. Definitely a place to go and chill with group of friends.”

Not ideal to drive here but it’s a far walk from the closest T station and there’s actually ample parking if you get there early enough. Would be a regular if I lived nearby. Took a 4-pack of their Zwickel home and couldn’t be more impressed with this place. Just need to make it up to Salem now!”

“Short Path is one of my fav places in the Boston area. I’ve been here multiple times but most recently to celebrate a surprise birthday party. The gin and drinks are phenomenal but what surpasses that is the staff. Very kind and accommodating! There was a hiccup in the event on our end but they were the best. Jeff who was working in the distillery was so kind and sweet. No doubt that we will be back!! Definitely consider Short Path Distillery to host your event!!”

“Im terrible at dancing, and I’m a VERY shy person, but the Saturday night dance lesson had me up and running pretty quickly! Some reviews would have you imagine that it’s absolutely hopeless if you don’t bring a partner, but they’re wrong. There are a lot of couples that keep to themselves, and the lead/follow situation is a bit chaotic, but everyone is so nice and willing to dance! There were some moments that I was by myself, but - instead of moping around and isolating myself on the edge - I (a scaring looking guy) was happily practicing the steps in the middle, so follows (girls) actively came up to me and asked if I needed a partner when the instructor said to switch. As long as you’re there to dance and have fun, you couldn’t possibly have a bad time. Will come back VERY soon and more often!”

“Roxanne’s is a place I’ve tried now once, and it’s one I’ll probably not go back to. Not at fault of the service, it’s just not my cup of tea. When I go out for drinks, I strive for the best cocktails and Roxanne’s goes for better than average. I think the biggest thing for me and this venue was the food. The drink was decent but the food was so very basic that I wasn’t excited. My friend and I got their salt and pepper wings, Buffalo cauliflower, and fries. The fries were the best part but it was just Thai sweet chili sauce and mayo. The wings has a spicy rub but they were also drier than what you’d want for a non sauce wing. The cauliflower wasn’t crispy and more just had the sauce. It was just overall very mid. I’m not going to fault anymore for enjoying the food or experience here. The visuals of the restaurant are great, the service is standard and the drinks are genuinely yummy. Come here if you’re close and want decent drinks after work!”

“Our waitress was horrible. We were there for about 2 hours and she came over maybe 3 times. Other than that, this place is pretty good. We ordered the fried pickles, wagyu sliders, cornbread, and chicken and waffles. Overall the food is good. The sliders were by far the best thing we ordered. The drinks were also good although we had to remind our waitress we ordered green tea shots that she never gave us. The live music was also very good. Had the service been better I would consider coming back but I can’t justify the lack of service over the decent food.”
