“I did not try any food, but went with off menu classics like a Manhattan, and asked for a floral but not sweet gin cocktail and was given the Pegu Club, along with some great background of the drinks origin. Everything you'd want out of a small corner saloon with 6ish bars seats and 5 or so tables. I saw someone enjoying what looked like oysters, but did not get a chance to browse the menu. From the looks of it, we are talking about a refined cocktail bar with a wide array of potions at their disposal. I see lots of rum, gin and other spirits you'd expect in a place like this. Well done, thank you for the pick me up. Update: came back again on a Friday night. Super friendly staff, friendly patrons and a wonderful Pimm's cup!”

“Went here for a conference associated event. The drinks were good although had some unusual flavors and the servers were quick. The DJ set a good mood as well throughout the night. It was decorated Halloween themed. They had some snacks like chicken tenders, melted cheese and honey sandwich, and pizza sandwich which was tasty. Overall a good impression and I would be back!”

“Beat my expectations! The burger in a baguette was tasty, the meat was cooked well. That is their speciality. The fish and chips was also solid (I am British so I feel qualified to opine on this). Starters were also good for a bar. The hazy IPA and wine were both delightful. Service was great - we had an engaging waiter and everything was timely. It was a fun atmosphere to sit at a spacious table but have the energy of a bar behind us. Caveat: we had the best table in the house - 6 person circular table immediately on the left as you walk in so it felt very spacious. Other tables were not so spacious!”

Rather you’re on a date or eating with a friend or family keep in mind this place is not very kid friendly… kids are welcomed but it’s just not a kid friendly environment. the food and service is always outstanding. We had several drinks, all of which were pretty good. The setting and ambiance make this place pretty cool, and the drinks for well with the African/“jungle” theme - quite different from the average bar. We had several dishes off the food menu and they were all very good!”

“cocktail bar located inside the westin st. francis hotel. although the interior is somewhat unassuming and felt like an extension of a hotel lobby, the drinks were top tier. service was also friendly and prompt. loved the gen z slang. overall, would recommend stopping here for a quick drink, but wouldn’t stay long since they are pricy at $24/each. the ultimate rizz: amazing cocktail! some spice and bitterness but balanced with cream.”

One person in our group wasn't drinking so ordered a water from the bartender, the bartender said no and walked away (not e.g. redirecting to a water pitcher or cooler, if there was one out). First time I've ever seen that happen, and I thought it was illegal not to serve water. This was a Saturday afternoon a few weeks ago and it wasn't super packed, and the rest of our group was drinking so I really don't know what the problem was It's a shame because I otherwise like the bar”

“Great cocktail bar near all the major tech offices downtown and Salesforce Park for when you want to grab drinks with friends after work. It gets pretty busy the later you come so try to come early if you want a seat. Inside the bar is themed with tropical plants and decor. I tried two drinks, the paper plane and the smoke stack, both of which were delicious with a good amount of alcohol in them. The paper plane was my favorite of the two. Glad to see this place is still around and keeping the SOMA area alive in SF.”

“Great atmosphere. Loved all of the plants surrounding the space. We sat at the bar as all of the tables were full shortly after happy hour on a Friday. Hit me baby one more thyme was both of our favorites. The oysters were fresh and the toppings were flavorful. The oysters were great, I just expected the portion to be a little bigger but they were still delicious. Between two people we shared the fries, oysters, and mussels and were full. Will try and make it back for the 5-6 happy hour & dessert next time.”

“Only been here once while in town from EU, was for UHual all female night and the eye candy was fantastic. Hot women of all backgrounds, love it! Def going back just for that. Plus free before 9pm, good deal before things get too crowded. We loved that it wasn’t too crowded too. Enough people but also plenty of space to chill and dance.”
