“This dark, poorly decorated, small place serves one of the best espresso drinks I’ve ever tasted. Dark roasted, full bodied packed with hazelnut and brown sugar flavors. Their cappuccinos and cortados are unreal, prepared so skillfully that you just have to order a second one after your first sip. Definitely a Top 3 among the coffees that I’ve tasted in the US.”

“Cute unique coffee shop within a converted old home, with lots of flavored coffees to choose for purchase. Good list of signature latte flavor mixes as well. Good for hang out or to come and study. Outdoor seating as well. Staff was nice, but not super friendly. Seems as this is frequented by locals or regulars. I got the baklava latte. Very good coffee, also have cookies and scones !”

“Sharing one review but I’ve been to Bird & Branch multiple time so these are some of the photos from my various visits here. This is one of my favorite coffee places in NYC - it has a Japanese-fusion inspired menu and the drinks are named after birds. I love the creativity this place has put into their menu. They also rotate the drinks seasonally so the menu stays fresh. Although I don’t have a picture of it I highly recommend the iced passionfruit black tea during the summer -it’s a refreshing drink and not too sweet. The snowy owl and the mockingbird are definitely worth a try during the colder months. Their food menu is also really on point. I love the miso hummus toast -it’s like a vegan caprese toast and it’s delicious. The egg sandwich and the matcha square are also personal favorites of mine. Highly recommend this place!”

“Exponentially one of the better coffee place near Bryant park. Skip all the others which are near to the park, not worth the wait and price. I’ll recommend to get their drip coffee variations. Baristas are friendly but do tend get engrossed in their own world when making coffee. Only negative is their tiny lobby with limited seating space. Hurts in winter but other times you can just grab one on the go and enjoy it at the park.”

“I went in there for the first time to grab breakfast and was excited to try them out since their Google reviews are great... but I was only disappointed in my breakfast. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese with avocado (two: one for myself and one for my husband) and two hot chocolates: needless to say the bacon egg and cheese was a disappointment. The bacon was undercooked and all you get is literally one strip of bacon. I paid around $40 and it was NOT worth it at all. The hot chocolate was alright but definitely not worth the price... it was not hot but warm... I called the order over the phone so I don't know what the service is like but when I walked in I did not feel welcomed. As far as the ambiance... it seemed chill when I walked in but again not too sure because I picked up and left.”

I came here in my search to find a good coffee shop to work in … not for me. It would be great for others but not for me. Why? Music is very loud and the wifi sucks. There is a small room in the back with couches that is quieter but it was hot and your the loud guy if you need to make a call. Now, making calls was not the issue, it was the bad wifi. If you need a coffee shop without wifi that is loud, this place is great. It is quaint and comfy with the couches and the old school look. Space - large with lots of seating Staff - not so friendly Prices - moderate to high Work - they welcome people to work on laptops.”

This is the ONLY place nearby I will get a matcha latte from- usually they’re too weak but they always get it right here. Plus there are fun syrups to add like rose and lavender. If you like flavored lattes ask about the Cozy Suzy, you won’t be disappointed. Lastly the service is the best part! Literally everyone who works there is so kind and welcoming. James especially is always there with a smile on his face- just an utterly sweet person and instantly brightens my day to stop by and say hello! I truly look forward to coming here for my drink AND for the little boost of happiness from a chit chat with everyone here. I always leave happier! This is the ideal neighborhood spot! “The cashier and the other chicha who were on the turn of Friday, June 21 at 2:00 were excellent. On the other side of the coin, an older gentleman of about 60 years or more was very badly educated at the time of making my order, he treated me very badly, he is not an educated person and he is very loud and to complete he gave me the order badly and not he asked me to apologize.”
