The cashier really helped my friends and I pick great options. Service: Our cashier really was talkative and offered up options for use which we really liked. Atmosphere: Or ambiance like it call it, was really open and welcoming. The staff at the shoppe really made comfortable! Overall, I have to say one of the best coffee staff and shops I have ever been to.”

Only wish things were more consistent (oftentimes out of menu items and service can be very slow). Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun local drip or espresso beverage. “Fantastic place to stop in for a high-quality espresso. I visit the Peoria area roughly once every two years, and CxT has been my go-to spot for coffee while I'm in town for the past couple of visits. Their standard house espresso (as a doppio) is part of my morning routine every day, and I haven't found an espresso to match it elsewhere in Peoria. The baristas are fantastic and knowledgeable about their products, the store is kept clean and has a nice appearance, and I've felt nothing but welcomed whenever I've come in. From the brief couple of times I've tried other drinks (a cappuccino here and there, something akin to a maple cayenne latte a couple weeks ago, etc.) they've been excellent as well, but I don't know if I'd say they're completely different than what you'd find at any other high-quality café. Anyway, I'd highly recommend CxT Roasting Company to anyone, but especially for those espresso aficionados out there.”

My omelet could have used a bit more seasoning. But considering the crowds I was okay with it.”

“Can I give this place six stars? First of all- the selection is so diverse and unique and amazing. I had the (seasonal) Butterscotch Rose Petal Black Tea Xmas Latte (yes I know that sounds made up) and GOOD GOD it was scrumptious. I can’t even describe the taste but I slapped my knee at least twice. The service was great, the space is quirky and fun and there’s lots to look at, and the little knick knacks to purchase are so cute. I almost bought twelve teapots until reality slapped me in the face (I am not the Mad Hatter). Go here, you won’t regret it.”

“Such a cute little coffee shop on Main St in Galena. The have a nice selection of tea , coffee , refreshers and baked items. Went there twice during our stay in Galena and was happy with the drinks I ordered and their service. I had the cappuccino and the watermelon cucumber mint refresher and both were great . The refresher us perfect for the hot day. The cappuccino was delicious and aromatic . Didn't get a chance to try the baked goods but they all looked great. Nice little coffee shop, will definitely visit again when visiting Galena.”

“I had a simple doctor’s appointment at 259 E Erie with a family doctor and LSW from outer space. I could not get a cab out of that building. There is absolutely NO service in that high rise. But at Starbucks next door as crowded as it is you get a Chai latte or a cup of dark roast as you lick your wounds from being treated like a retarded personality. And Starbucks helps you with your favorite cab companies. There is no healthcare but you become a respected customer in a line that moves quickly and you get a clean table and a place to charge your electronics and you return to your normal self after your MD has questioned your sanity even though she doesn’t know how. I love Chicago; all its structure and beauty and Starbucks adds flavor (intense) and the regular customer service one is used too. The natural stuff; that part of life makes the unthinkable disappear.”
