Tout De Suite Cafe

“Came for sausage biscuits and gravy. I may never leave :). Wow, these are awesome! All the other food passing by the table looks great, too! Day 2: We came back! Just as good as I dreamt of them last night. Pictures this time.”

Simple Joe Cafe
4.7

3057 Government St, Baton Rouge, LA 70806, United States

“Online, it seems like a good dinner. In person is a different experience. First 2 minutes after sitting down, I get asked by a tall bold waiter with a beard to move. That this small table I am sitting at is to accommodate other people. I relocated to this other table. 5 minutes sitting down, I get splash by water. The food was mediocre at best. Pancakes were more like a messy mass than the fluffy ones everyone keeps saying they are getting. My opinion save your money for that other dinner down the road that has better service and far better food.”

Mojo Coffee House

“I thought my wife had lost her mind when she rolled up with a coffee version of an Arnold Palmer - half lemonade, half coffee. Yuck. Then I tasted it, and I was like 👀 let’s go get you one because I’m not giving this back. The flavor combination sounds weird, but it’s a delightful way to enjoy a midday cup of coffee in the sun and humidity. The vibes inside were just as nice. Clean spot, quick and super kind barista, and the bathroom is like a mini hidden museum. I spent longer just soaking up the walls than I did going to the bathroom. This place was cool. We’ll be back next time we’re at Surrey’s up the street.”

French Truck Coffee

“In A Nutshell: -French Truck Coffee is a local coffee chain with locations around NOLA, Louisiana & Memphis. -They source from origin bringing you the freshest beans in small batches & roast them for you promptly. -During hot & muggy days like the current heat dome we're experiencing in the Dirty South, you'll be happy to down a nice cold cup of New Orleans Iced Coffee. -Not only is the coffee amazing, but the type of ice they use is my favorite crushed ice that pairs perfectly w/ this iced coffee. -I like the name French Truck Coffee along w/ the bright yellow color they use. -You can even purchase their coffee at local grocery stores too. Overall, if you are NOLA, you need to stop by for some great coffee!”

Congregation Coffee Roasters

“Visiting NOLA for 3 days and just had this on our way out of the city. Surprisingly this was my favorite meal of the trip!! Everything was flavorful and adventurous. They have interesting drinks that are really good but their plain coffee is so good we’re taking it home.”

“Delicious and quiet coffee shop with delicious food. Their iced Chai was one of the best I've had. We had the Vietnamese Breakfast sandwich and the French Connection sandwich and both were great!”

Coffee Rani - Mandeville

“I got the pesto pasta salad with a fried chicken cutlet. It was delicious, and the portion was overly generous. I think 3/4 of the size of the salad would be plenty. For $16, that is really expensive for a salad. I understand it's probably extra because of the pasta and chicken, but I think if the portion was a little smaller, the price could be lowered a couple of dollars. The marble truffle cake was delicious as well, but it was $6.50 for a square. If the prices had been posted, I wouldn't have gotten it. Maybe that's why they don't post the prices on the pastry counter lol. Overall a good experience, quick service, and very fresh, delicious food. Deducting 1 star because we paid $60 for 2 adults, 1 child, and 3 pastries. And we got tap water to drink!”

“CASH ONLY! The best beignets I've ever had!!!. Goes great with a hot chocolate. You do powder your own beignets, which isn't a problem because it allows you to customize how sugary you would like your pastries. The mini mafulletas are okay. …”

“So far, we like all the food we've had here. I must recommend the Reuben sandwich on marble rye. My wife's eggs Benedict were well prepared though the Hollandaise sauce has a certain sour twang which might be off-putting to some. We are beginning to frequent this place.”

The French Press

“I have been here before and service and food was top tier however this time wasn’t so pleasant. Blake Broussard was not the best server. When we first arrive we had to wait for menus, appetizer was then served with no saucers then I asked and was served plastic plates. Food was then served and was not followed up until I stopped him to ask for the ticket to pay. I order fish that need to be cooked a little more and my mom order breakfast sandwich that she enjoyed”
