“My cat-loving daughter (age 6) and I had a blast at the cafe! We opted for the extended session, which yes, was a little pricey, but definitely the right choice for us! (We know it funds a good cause!). We got there early and ordered drinks and a brownie, which we took inside with us. Eleanor was the lounge attendant in the room and was a DELIGHT. She was helpful and silly; she listened and answered EVERY question my chatty kiddo asked her. It was such a wonderful experience to play and love on cats and kittens- we will be back again and bringing more friends!”

“Been wanting to check this place out for awhile and I’m guessing I never looked hard enough to find it. we finally found it by chance, kinda hidden away with no big fancy signage making it stand out. Which there’s nothing really wrong with that as this is more of a true specialty shop that doesn’t do too much of those sweet flavor-y drinks, but more focuses on the quality of the coffee by providing house-roasted single origin offerings and some teas as well. To be honest, this is my ideal coffee shop and think we need more of these types of shops. The day I have a chance to open my own, it would be something like this. The space was small, with brick walls and nice plants that look well taken care of. The menu was straightforward and described the coffee that you were getting. And you can’t say that the little logo isn’t interesting! Will definitely have to come back earlier in the day so I can enjoy a pour over.”

Tap is incredibly cold and well poured. Bourbon came with a bourbon ball. We also tried the Sam n Lox and it was incredible and very well made. It was not some rushed commercial experience, they took their time preparing everything and it showed in the quality of what we were served. Great small business- we were in and out in 40 minutes which is impressive considering there were 12 other patrons at the time. Hubby and I are going back for wine tastings and signing up for a wine subscription!”

My wife thought the sandwich was amazing and I thought the cake was amazing, so wee were both quite happy. I will agree that tables are at times hard to get here, and it can be loud in this New Albany store, but it’s a coffee house, where you are supposed to feel comfortable conversing, enjoying your friends and family, so I say go and go often!!”

I ordered the White Chocolate Mocha which was phenomenal. And then I ordered the Breakfast Burrito Chorizo, Hash Browns, Provolone, Scrambled Eggs, Roasted Onions and Peppers served with Tomatillo Sauce. “Set up in the Open Air building on Neil Avenue in Old North Columbus, Emmett's Cafe perfectly refreshes the historic charm of the building. Full of plants, light, modern furniture, and great coffee and food, this is an all-time favorite breakfast spot of mine, and I often find myself waking up and craving a One Handed Breakfast Sandwich and a cup of coffee from Emmett's. Especially on a weekday morning when it's quiet, you can't beat the jazz or downtempo music and early morning sun reflecting off of the surface of your coffee - it's a perfect start to the day. It's also nice to sit outside when the weather is nice. My favorites other than the breakfast sandwich are the Loaded Toast, the Banana Bread, and the Overnight Oats. The quality and freshness of the ingredients is excellent. Most of the time you can find parking, on the weekends it's a little harder but you can usually snag a spot in the parking lot. It's a great spot to bring friends and folks from out of town. The service is really friendly and they want to make sure you're taken care of. Next to Understory and Butcher Shop Fitness, it's clear that cool things are happening in the area. I only wish it was around when I was living a block away as an OSU student!”

“Cool coffee house across the street from the West Side Market. It is a very big space with lots of seating inside, as well as some outdoor tables. There is a full coffee menu as well as some food (did not try the food this time). Coffee was very good...up there with some of my other favorite Cleveland coffee shops.
