“Café 290 is a smaller venue that offers dining tables near the stage, cocktail tables closer to the door, and bar seating that encircling approximately 50% of the full-service bar. Due to recommendations from the reviews I read we arrived shortly after 8:00 PM for the 9:00 PM starting time. Having already eaten dinner we decided to grab a cocktail table near the middle of venue, which turned out to be an excellent selection. As showtime approached the joint began to quickly fill up and it ended up being standing room only. Service was OK, although it did seem that our waitress wasn't very attentive and the only way that we were able to get drinks was to stop her as she walked by us. Perhaps it was just me, but she seemed to be ignoring us compared to the service she was providing to the remainder of her tables.”

“The drinks were solid. Not the best ever but also totally not the worst. We ordered a Lavender Matcha, a Matcha with Oat Milk and a Hot Chocolate. The barista was knowledgeable and super kind! The ambiance is weird, eclectic, and cool. There isn’t any seating inside, with plenty outdoor seating availability. But it was Atlanta in the summer. Absolutely love the neighborhood of Aurora Coffee, and it’s nice they have on-site parking. Would definitely go back!”

“This brunch cafe is a little hidden gem in the Chastain area. The food and drinks are all on point and the staff is always very friendly. Definitely recommend this place! If you've got a sweet tooth, I recommend the Challah Bread French Toast and the Iced Bon Bon.”

“We are frequent customers and love this place. Great options for breakfast and lunch, there are special events too like burger night. Anything we have tried was great. We especially love the Southwestern Salad and Cuban Sandwich. All sides are made fresh. Also try the peach tea, it is not very sweet and delicious. The baked goods are awesome too”

“Warm Waves is one of my favorite out-of-house locations to go for work. The space is comfortable with a variety of seating options, wifi, and quiet energetic music. The food and drinks are good (I always love a classic vanilla latte from here) and the staff is super friendly. The bathrooms are also nice and clean, definitely a notch above some of the other coffee shops I've been to. My biggest issue is that the other restaurants in the area have reserved all but about 7 of the nearby parking spots, which is not nearly enough for the crowd that comes to Warm Waves. We end up parking at the nearby high school (Innovation Academy) when their parking lot is open (only during weekends) and walking to the coffee house.”

“I've been here twice and have had a great experience both times. I got the pour over both times and the barista gave me a good review of the beans that they currently had. The undertone flavor is very strong and it might be the most flavorful coffee that I've ever had. Aside from the coffee being good, the atmosphere is cool and has somewhat of a modern look. I'll definitely be back for special occasions.”
