Plaza College
4.7
( 8 reviews )
Open until 07:00 PM

Queens Blvd, Queens, NY 11375, United States

“As a upcoming plaza college student, the application/ transfer process has been a very smooth transition! Because of the best and most helpful staff and mentors including Jennifer Nebling I am excited to start this new journey at plaza and eventually be part of the accelerated nursing program in the future! They really hear you out about your concerns and advocate for you for your best interest. Plaza College has exceeded my expectations, and I couldn't be happier with my decision to pursue my education here.”

The Culinary Institute Of America
4.6
( 8 reviews ) $$
Open until 05:00 PM

1946 Campus Dr, Hyde Park, NY 12538, United States

“The premier cooking school in the United States lives up to its rep. The campus is compact, filled with beautiful buildings and perfectly situated above the Hudson River. The students and staff seem genuinely happy to be there and the food, of course, is amazing. The open house is something you don’t want to miss if you or your child is considering attending. It’s a full day of information gathering, touring and being able to speak to students and staff.”

The Juilliard School
4.5
( 8 reviews )

60 Lincoln Center Plaza, New York, NY 10023, United States

“Amazing experience. It is a beautiful place. You can enter into some areas or halls of the school with pictures of great artists and dancers. The area in front of it is amazing, with seats where you can admire the view, rest and have great time with your friends, as nice pictures. It is worth visiting it if you like dance and know a little about the school. It is well-know and many times appears in hollywood movies. It is New York so I think it is best to get there by metro (subway), if you are by car, you have to find a park-in-lot and pay for it. Well located too, close to many other touristics sites, stations and restaurants.”

United States Military Academy
4.5
( 8 reviews )

606 Thayer Rd, West Point, NY 10996, United States

“Historic place of learning. If you get a chance to visit then you'll appreciate the architecture and the history all around this place”

University At Albany
4.4
( 8 reviews )
Open until 04:30 PM

1400 Washington Ave, Albany, NY 12222, United States

“Absolutely enjoyed my 1.5yrs at SUNY Albany after transferring from a private university. It was close to home and got the work done to get that bachelors degree. Their commuter community was excellent with designated commuter area for students to connect or a place to do homework. I joined the anti-human trafficking club after learning about it in international policy course and helped out with some fundraising and posters. I even interned at the International Student scholars office for Dr. Elliott director of ISSS. He is one of the smartest and nicest professors that I’ve met and took a class from. To this day (I graduated 6yrs ago), I still connect with him as a mentor and sometimes we go out for coffee when I’m back in the upstate NY area. Their business school you have to maintain a 5.5 GPA in order to stay in the program. Usually after a semester of taking business courses, 60-70% of business students dropped bc they cannot maintain the high GPA standards. I was one of them unfortunately, but I was able to use my business course credits towards a Business administration minor. Luckily at UAlbany there are plenty of other excellent programs in sciences, liberal arts or engineering. I was able to transfer to the liberal arts - urban planning department for globalization studies major. Dr Brumes?! I forgot his name was the most helpful advisor at UAlbany. He helped me so much for counseling the 300,400 level international courses to take in order to graduate quickly. Bc I transferred from a private school, those business and gen ed credits were able to transfer over to the urban planning globalization program. I even took a summer semester to complete part of the curriculum while working part time jobs. I was able to graduate with my BAs within 1.5yrs at UAlbany. On the bright side, I only took out at most $5k in loans and paid it off within 2yrs after finding full jobs in CA.”

John Brown Farm State Historic Site
4.7
( 8 reviews )

115 John Brown Rd, Lake Placid, NY 12946, United States

“While vacationing in the area, we decided to stop at the historical John Brown Farm. When you first pull up to the site, you notice the bronze statue of Brown with an African American boy. Memorial Field has many cards posted with various instances of injustice that have taken place over time to people and it just made me so said to read some of them. It made me stop and think that at any time, no matter the situation, that that could have been me. As you walk down the path that takes you to the house, the small cemetary of where Brown is buried is to the left. A large bolder with two bronze placards tells of who all is buried with Brown. Across from the bolder are other grave markers, those of his children. Upon entering the house, the parlor is to your right. The room is modestly furnished and the only two pieces that actually belong to Brown and his wife are the wooden desk and bookcase. The other pieces allow you to get a sense of, what the furnishing may have looked like during that time. If time permits, I would love to take another tour of the house and barn before we leave the area to go back home, mostly to take more photos of inside the home and barn. If you love history then you definitely want to stop and check it out. Definetly worth stopping. Operate on donations from the public.”

1323 E 18th St, Brooklyn, NY 11230, United States

“As a student of this academy years ago, Farber’s academy not only prepares you for your exams… but also provides the tools to be “ahead of the game.” Slowly building up from the foundation, I was able to build on to my existing knowledge in English and Math. When going back to school, I felt ahead of my fellow classmates and was breezing through the material. That being set, this academy prepares you extremely well for the specialized exams and for your child to be successful in school.”

“It’s a pretty good college among all the CUNY schools. It’s the main campus of Hunter College, the other two big campus are in uptown(for social work major ) and east village(nursing school ). The library and classrooms are nice. However, the office services are really bad, and some people who work there are not nice, sometimes they’re really mean!!!”

Pace University
4.3
( 8 reviews )
Open until 11:59 PM

One Pace Plaza, New York, NY 10038, United States

“I've been to alot of Colleges in NY. Not one of them compares to how bad Pace University is. It is so bad in fact, that I went out of my way to write a review, which I never do. In my time here I noticed that the college staff, professors, and the community constantly push a liberal agenda towards it's students, new or old. I'm not a political man so I don't care much for when a place of study pushes it's politic values on students, however Pace is very overbearing with it. I had just finished this and still have not received my grades. On top of all this I had registered for classes just to have them dropped by Pace staff because I did not meet some requirements. It would have been nice to see these requirements before signing up for class, but I guess Pace uses poor, unpaid interns who barley know how to code a website properly. I have 1or 2 jobs and making a schedule for school to fit is very difficult for me, Pace only made things harder. Please don't let the word "University" sway your opinion on this college it means nothing in this context.”

State University Of New York At New Paltz
4.2
( 8 reviews ) $$

1 Hawk Dr, New Paltz, NY 12561, United States

“I visited the New Paltz campus for the first time on Wednesday September 18, 2019. I enjoy visiting colleges and take pictures. What surprised me is how dated the campus looked. It reminded of the school I attended in the early seventies. Almost like going back into time. I did ask someone if there are any new buildings or on going construction and she said yes but I didn't see very much activity. I visited the campus art gallery it was wonderful. The campus has a couple of lakes but other than that, the SUNY New Paltz campus is as dull as dishwater.”

The College Of Saint Rose
4.2
( 8 reviews ) $$
Open until 04:30 PM

432 Western Ave, Albany, NY 12203, United States

“Saint Rose is an amazing school that provided me with a world of more interest, better intelligence everywhere I go, and lifelong friendships that were and are still strong and invaluable. I definitely made the correct decision by choosing to attend St. Rose and it's a shame that things have to end the way they are for the college.”

Iona University
4.1
( 8 reviews ) $$

715 North Ave, New Rochelle, NY 10804, United States

“Did my BBA in Information Systems and Business Analytics here at LaPenta School of Business. Iona is a great little school with the resources to help students who are willing to take advantage of them. The quality of the education is good, and the quality of the alumni network is better. It’s proximity to NYC is a huge plus for post graduate work.”
