Texas A&m University
4.4
( 16 reviews )

Administration Building, 400 Bizzell St, College Station, TX 77843, United States

“Texas A&M University: A Campus Divided by Transit While Texas A&M University boasts a beautiful campus with a vibrant student life, its transportation infrastructure leaves much to be desired. The lack of dedicated parking spaces for both personal vehicles and delivery services creates congestion and frustration. Additionally, the excessive security measures surrounding student residences, reminiscent of a police academy, feel isolating and hinder accessibility. While the university's commitment to student safety is commendable, the current implementation creates a sense of division rather than fostering a welcoming environment. A more balanced approach that prioritizes both security and accessibility is crucial for the well-being of all campus residents and visitors.”

“CHCP is absolutely amazing school. All the instructors strive for you to be successful in whatever career you choose. I myself went into the LMRT program there and Mrs. Lewis was one of my instructors that went above and beyond to make sure I passed my state exam. She would text and host night reviews if needed to she always would find away to explain something to you that you did not get and would not stop till you knew it. Also honestly all the instructors are very helpful and encouraging and they will do all they can to help you.”

Npower Canada

700 Lawrence Ave W #380, Toronto, ON M6A 3B4, Canada

“My name is Obi, I am from Edmonton, Alberta and was part of the junior data analyst program from August to December 2023. My favorite NPower Canada moment was when we had a conversation about dealing with stress during our Wednesday professional development sessions. We were given some good tips and methods on how to deal with stress at work and in our personal lives. What made this memorable was the deep and open interactions between participants as they shared their personal challenges and positive takes on things such as sleeping and eating habits, shopping as a way to reduce or eliminate stress. It brought out our human side and provided a safe space to have such conversations.”

Lamar University
4.3
( 10 reviews )
Open until 05:00 PM

4400 S M L King Jr Pkwy, Beaumont, TX 77705, United States

“Upon entering the university I discussed my desired career with an advisor who placed me in a degree pathway that was NOT meant for my desired profession. I simply had faith in where I was placed and the coursework was close enough to not have raised suspicion. As a recent graduate, I now have a degree I cannot use and no leg to stand on as my correspondence was purely by phone. The university refuses to provide me details I have requested surrounding this error. Do your own research and be prepared to be met with incompetence rather than professionals. Maybe then your experience will be worthwhile.”

“Nice school to attend if you can borrow money or pay yourself. Housing on campus is 3-4K per semester depending on the building. Tuition is around 8K per semester. Scholarships are available, too. Staff and faculty are polite and helpful, for the most part.”

Dallas College North Lake Campus

“I am very dissatisfied with this college. I was expecting to graduate next spring but I will be leaving next fall. I wanted to drop a course and they said I won’t get a refund of that course which is $200 and I was okay with it. But they didn’t tell me that they’ll charge me $600 for dropping that course. One of the DSO told me to visit the cashier’s office to let them know I dropped the course and I even consulted with him about dropping the course and he didn’t mention anything about the extra charge. I had only one installment of $855 was left which was due mid November but now they’re telling me I have to pay $1400 cause I decided to drop the course which is unfair and I believe is not legal and I was not aware of that extra hidden fee. And I am not financially capable of paying additional $600 just for cancelling a class and adding charges for registration of another class. I hope the college administration will look into this matter.”

Tarrant County College - Northwest Campus
4.5

Open until 07:00 PM

4801 Marine Creek Pkwy, Fort Worth, TX 76179, United States

“Great if you actually want to do well in school and get involved. Those who expect to get nothing out of it will find themselves miserable here. Try hiking, biking, or skateboarding the six mile trail there around the entire lake. I always find time to do that.”

Trinity University

( 10 reviews ) $$

1 Trinity Pl, San Antonio, TX 78212, United States

“We are celebrating our daughter's graduation this weekend and started with a beautiful Vespers service followed by the President's Reception for the graduates. I had not attended Vespers before, and this service incorporated many of the various beliefs held by students such as Islam, Judaism, and Christianity. Students played and sang beautifully and the Chaplain spoke inspiring words. The ceremony had delicious heavy hors d'oeuvres including chicken, empanadas, and desserts.”

Austin Community College: Highland Campus
4.2
( 8 reviews )
Open until 10:30 PM

6101 Highland Campus Dr, Austin, TX 78752, United States

“The location is fantastic and parking superb and accessible for students. The cafe that students work at was nice for taking a snack during class breaks. I'm shocked that the cost of education here is so low, given how nice it is and how many staff, police, and professors are employed here. The registration process for continuing education is ok but could be improved by removing the unnecessary bureaucratic elements whenever possible. The quality of the education depends on the professor. If I were 4-year degree seeking, I'd focus on getting what I needed to transfer and getting out. The career services folks have been very helpful at reviewing my resume. One more thing -- fix the fabric cutter in the fashion lab! That thing has been broken for months and I was hoping to see it in use.”

Temple College
4.3
( 8 reviews )

2600 S 1st St, Temple, TX 76504, United States

“High quality education, very affordable. Surprisingly rigorous at times, but in a good way. Wonderful faculty willing to work with students (special shout out to the folks in the STEM majors, and to Prof. Donahue of the art department, who I'd almost pay just to hear talk xD).”

Alvin Community College
4.2
( 16 reviews )

3110 Mustang Rd, Alvin, TX 77511, United States

“I am not able to give a review on the entire school quality of education. As every program is under different individual. Buildings and programs don't work. People do. I can specifically mentioned one of their programs: The strive program. This program gives the opportunity for education and a college experience to individuals with intellectual disabilities. The coordinator and instructor is Ms. Mary is wonderful she embraces everyone uniques and levels of learning to STRIVE. Downside..there is no financial aide for this community. Don't involve the work force commission.. You AS A college create an in house school financing for students interested in your program. Then. You as an institution will STRIVE.”

Lone Star College-tomball

“VA Advisor is great, but her higher-ups aren’t. Been waiting over 3 weeks to get my VA benefits for using my GI Bill that includes funding for textbooks. After numerous calls, and emails addressing my concerns, they keep giving me the same answers of how I have to wait longer than 4 weeks. The last community college I went to was able to certify my enrollment to the VA in just 2 weeks. With school already starting, I have assignments that requires textbooks and I still have not been able to acquire them, I also submitted a request of funds for Veterans from Lone Star three days ago and still have not received a response. If you are a Veteran looking for a college to attend, please only come to Lone Star as a last resort as you will have to wait double the time than expected in order to get your benefits.”
