“A great place for quiet study at the second and third floor! As a night owl myself I like it that it remains open 24 hours in weekdays. Love the individual study spaces too!”

“I hate to say this but I don’t know if this school really needs students. It’s really tough to get in touch to Marilyn from Admission. I remember making an appt with her in the past, I came in on time at the campus, and she was on the phone the whole time. She does not know how her job works, and did not really explain to me all the processs, all she said was, well submit all requirements. I do miss the previous admission staff that they had.”

“If youre a non-traditional student like myself just go somewhere else. The lack of thought for anyone that works or doesnt live on campus is suprising. Everything that goes into these courses, due dates, and "mandatory peer led tutoring" has zero regard for anyone in the working class. Sometimes I will be given a handout and its due in one or two days, and when youre running back and forth from work, school, and trying to balance home life ontop of it it gets frustrating because my schedule is very tight and Im a person that always completes things early. They've incorporated something called "peer led tutoring" into some of the science courses and they're worth between 5 - 7.5% of your grade. This is a thing thats done outside the lecture and the lab with a SI (student instructor). I dont have time for tutoring. I study when I can, sacrificing sleep or in between work and school most of the time. If I have the knowledge and put forth the effort in labs, quizzes, and exams why should I be punished for not attending tutoring? Almost all the the courses have something silly like this that has zero regard for the non-traditional student. Ill leave this one star until something changes. But if you're a non-traditional student like myself just go somewhere else.”

South Suburban College

“Everything about this school sucks, minus a few good professors! Good luck with assistance from the financial aid office, business office, and Advisor office. * You won't receive your financial refund until the semester is over, which is crazy since the funds are to assist with your school needs. * They waited until the busiest semester of the year to fix the parking lot which is a big Inconveniencing for the students. * The whole computer system been down for over a month. I can't receive my grades, transcript or any other important documents, not even our refund. I would not recommend this school to anyone!”

Mchenry County College

“This school is completely unprofessional and unreliable. Do not waste your time and money going here. This place is a joke, there are plenty of community schools around mchenry county that are way better. Harper College is a good one that does not have as many issues like this school. The staff is very unhelpful and it seems as if they picked them out of a hat of the most unaware and incompetent people. Do not go here. Out of my years of talking to colleges, they are the worst one I have spoken too. They do not pick up their phone, when I have called I have gotten voicemail, over and over again, when I had a major issue with the school they neglected to pick up the phone. Most of the staff is very rude and very unhelpful. Do not come here. If I could leave 0 stars I would.”
