“Classic venue for music in intimate setting. Waitstaff attentive without being a distraction. Food was pretty good (you need malt vinegar for fish and chips you heathens). Prices fair for drinks and food. If your favorite artist is booked here by all means go.”

Lakewood Vineyards
4.7
( 8 reviews )

4024 NY-14, Watkins Glen, NY 14891, United States

“Love Lakewood Vineyards. Of the wineries were visited this was the best for wine and vineyard views. You can't see the lake from it though. It's the only winery I saw where everyone was checking out with huge numbers of bottles. The wine tasting was fun too as they do it with everyone together at the same time every 15 mins or so. First place I'd go if back in the area.”

Ganondagan State Historic Site
4.7
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 09:00 AM

1488 NY-444, Victor, NY 14564, United States

“Ganondagan State Historic Site located in Victor, NY is a National Historic Landmark, the only New York State Historic Site dedicated to a Native American theme (1987), and the only Seneca town developed and interpreted in the United States. Spanning 569 acres, Ganondagan is the original site of a 17th century Seneca village, that existed here for more than 350 years ago before being destroyed in 1687 by the French. The culture, art, agriculture, and government of the Seneca people influenced our modern understanding of equality, democratic government, women’s rights, ecology and natural foods. Ganondagan’s full-size, Seneca Bark Longhouse (1998) is fully furnished to reflect a typical Seneca family from the late 1600’s, complete with reproductions of 17th century Seneca objects and colonial-era trade goods.”

Hamilton Grange National Memorial
4.4
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

414 W 141st St, New York, NY 10031, United States

“Interesting place, but there is limited areas where rooms with period furniture are. Tour is only to second floor and there is only a self guided tour which is a few plastic pages describing each room. At best, you will spend about 20 minutes before you are escorted out. Young Ranger was very unsure of his Hamiltonian history. Two films on 1st floor were somewhat interesting. I expected more”

New York Chinese Scholar's Garden, Snug Harbor Cultural Center
4.5
( 8 reviews )

1000 Richmond Terrace, Staten Island, NY 10301, United States

“When we visited this place last year, we were greatly impressed with how beautiful the garden is but I was really disappointed from my recent visit to this garden, especially since I came from another state to make a whole trip was not worth it at all. The garden is extremely beautiful but it is not being well preserved. The paint on the building is chipping away, the lights are so dusty and unclean, can not sit anywhere because of how dirty it is and different bugs/spiders.There are countless spiderwebs everywhere, leaves on the pond (not being cleaned)The Koi fishes are also not being fed at all (since they keep reaching for humans for food it is very noticeable). it is extremely disappointing to see such a beautiful place filled with immense culture and history not being well-maintained soon it will lose its beauty. As always, we humans ruin everything. I am genuinely begging for them to see this post so please fix this place before it is too late, so in the near future more people can visit and appreciate the beauty of this please 🙏”

Harriet Tubman Home

180 South St, Auburn, NY 13021, United States

“I really wanted to learn more about Harriet Tubman. Her story is truly one of faith, heartbreak, and perseverance. It was a wonderful tour and was very informative. I learned so much more about this magnificent woman. I also believe we had a "visitor" during the tour inside one of the property homes.”

Elizabeth St, New York, NY 10012, United States

“A small but beautiful garden in the midst of the hustle and grind of Soho. Statues stay watch in this serene escape from the craziness that the city brings. You can immediately feel a sense of calm as you pass through the gates into this little beautiful getaway. There is seating spattered throughout the park and it is a beautiful place just to sit, sip a coffee and get lost in a daydream.”

Eyval

4.7
( 16 reviews )
Closed until 06:00 PM

25 Bogart St, Brooklyn, NY 11206, United States

“A hidden gem in east Williamsburg, a Persian fusion restaurant, nice cocktail options, and tasty dishes. We have bread and salad as a starter, the bread is creamy and a little sweet, paired with the sour/acidic salad. Then, crunch a potato with dark sauce. Had octopus and need kabob. Both of them are good, these have some layers of flavor, completely bringing the street food stereotype to a higher level. The ice sandwich is a rose-based with pistachio, impressive flavor but still creamy. Will visit this place again!”

Society Of Illustrators
4.7
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 11:00 AM

128 E 63rd St, New York, NY 10065, United States

“One of Manhattan many small museums with a specific subject. Perfect to spend an hour or two. We saw an exhibit on children's book illustrations, just delightful! And another on women's cartoons (like from the New Yorker). And there's a bar on the top floor adjoining an outdoor seating area. Check out what's current and go.”

Fisher Center At Bard
4.8
( 8 reviews )

Manor Ave, Annandale-On-Hudson, NY 12504, United States

“I am hesitant to say some of this, mostly because The Fisher Center hosts speakers of the utmost caliber, and their employees are gracious, kind and helpful. However, I also believe in honesty and transparency. I recently purchased tickets to see an acclaimed author give a 5-series lecture on writing. I've seen two of the lectures so far, and they've been wonderful; Inspiring to me as a writer, in fact. My concerns pertain to the premium package I purchased (for an extra $800 I couldn't really afford but bought anyway). That package included a special reception with the author afterward. In my experience, the premium package wasn't worth the money. I was rushed to get into the signing line first, the author wrote a single word in my book, didn't speak or respond to me, and didn't even look me in the eye. I'm still glad I bought tickets for the lectures, but I wish I'd completely avoided the signing.”

Rockaway Brewing Company
4.6
( 10 reviews )

46-01 5th St, Queens, NY 11101, United States

“Loved the atmosphere! Exactly what one would expect from a brewery located in Queens. The selection was diverse. I had the Hawaiian pizza and Variation IPA. They were both fruit forward. While the HP seemed to be the locals favorite I actually preferred the Variation (v4).”

Asia Society And Museum
4.4
( 16 reviews )

725 Park Ave, New York, NY 10021, United States

“Small and condenses museum. We went for the Meiji Modern exhibition. It was fantastic. There happened to be a guide touring and explaining each piece to a group so we heard stories on some pieces as well. Definitely looking forward to future exhibitions.”
