“A small but beautiful garden in the midst of the hustle and grind of Soho. Statues stay watch in this serene escape from the craziness that the city brings. You can immediately feel a sense of calm as you pass through the gates into this little beautiful getaway. There is seating spattered throughout the park and it is a beautiful place just to sit, sip a coffee and get lost in a daydream.”

“One of Manhattan many small museums with a specific subject. Perfect to spend an hour or two. We saw an exhibit on children's book illustrations, just delightful! And another on women's cartoons (like from the New Yorker). And there's a bar on the top floor adjoining an outdoor seating area. Check out what's current and go.”

“Loved the atmosphere! Exactly what one would expect from a brewery located in Queens. The selection was diverse. I had the Hawaiian pizza and Variation IPA. They were both fruit forward. While the HP seemed to be the locals favorite I actually preferred the Variation (v4).”

It's so calm, peaceful, and serene. There's ferns, a pond, trees, and flowers. After you relax in the garden, the justice exhibit on the 1st floor on the right side once you enter. The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center
4.4
( 8 reviews )
Open until 10:00 PM

208 W 13th St, New York, NY 10011, United States

“Happy World AIDS Day! Great place, great Atmosphere. The only issue I have with the Center is unless you buy a Coffee at the Coffee shop, there is not much room for the community to hang out such as lounges, cosy spaces and dropins like you would find in Canada. I think it can be a little intimidating. I came once for a coffee and there was no sitting available, I then went all over this gigantic place and all I saw was empty rooms, not available to public and been told it’s to rent. About the programs, it seems the Manhattan LGBT community is very Senior and adult proof, with most of the programs dedicated to youth. I think the LGBT center of New York City could be much more. So far, I don’t see much difference with Starbucks. I don’t see any displays of brochures or any variety in the intake to adjust to people diversities. If I was homeless, I probably would come in and go out in the second feeling a bit overwhelmed to be in a Capital One Café like environment. Where are the hearts and flags on the wall and all that? Here’s my take for the day. Love. Also, it’s world AIDS Day. A big ribbon on the wall, perhaps, New York City?”

Iac Building

“Great space for hosting events. Plenty of room, easy to navigate in open space with terrific floor to ceiling windows. The wall displays/video screens are a plus for displaying montages and videos. The sound system is very good. It can get noisy with the acoustics, but all in all it is very good space for hosting parties.”
