“I have been clubbing for 15 years now and this place tops them all. There are not many I haven’t been to all over the world and this place blew my socks off. Where to start? Greeted at the door by a friendly bunch of staff and that didn’t end there, all the staff in the club were also friendly and approachable. This is a rarity in the club scene. The queue moved fast. Cameras on phones appropriately covered up which resulted in no phones in the crowd. A big positive for the dance floor. Two great rooms to dance in, room 2 felt very personal, room 1 had a podium for those that like a better view of the room, plenty of chill out space. Smoking terrace and bars everywhere, so we hardly had to queue for a drink. The lights and sound system both incredible and the crowd to match. Not one bad soul in there. Just everyone having the best time. Great locker system in place for your belongings. Best club in London by miles. I’m only gutted I hadn’t been here sooner, but I’ll be making a lot of trips down from Manchester just to dance here. Great work from all involved. That is how it’s done. “Kongs is a pretty decent place to spend a few hours. There is a good selection of drinks, and some nice food options. The music here isn't very consistent, sometimes it's really great but other times not so good. The atmosphere of the place can sometimes be impacted by that. I wish there were more arcade games! I would recommend checking it out, it may be your kind of place!”

“After a nice night we came to flares for a dance! We were having a good time until two of the four guys went to the toilet and one of the doormen came and kicked one of us out for performing lewd acts of a homosexual flavor in the toilets which A. Didn’t happen (both guys have girlfriends and are highly professional people) B. Is borderline abuse of power. From my memories and observations the doorman - security was being very confrontational to anyone being different or dancing too wildly. Ruined our evening if the club isn’t a safe space then I’ll be sure to spread the word and never return!”

“Everything’s absolutely stellar, except the horrible girl in a massive faux fur coat who threatened to kick me out of the club at 3am because I was sat down against a wall as my back was killing me. However the drink prices are a bit steep. Other than that, bar staff are lovely, it’s an amazing venue, and amazing live music.”

“Brilliant food, brilliant atmosphere and the service was spot on. You get a flag to hold up when you wish to be served and all of 5 seconds after putting the flag up there is a server by your side. Surprisingly cheap, we spent £260 for 7 of us. My only issues are that there wasn’t the best choice of drinks, no redbull or other type of energy drinks which I have with vodka. The music could have have been better in the sense of decades. A lot of it was from the 80’s. But besides them, very good night out and I would definitely recommend it.”

“I was a regular goer before pandemic, everything was amazingly queer: the music, the atmosphere. The club downstairs with decent entrance fees: £5, and only on the busiest days, with queer and diverse music. After Covid the owners of Ku Bar took advantage of the « cost of living crisis » and increased the fee to £10. £8 for a single Gintonic. Today they still charge £10 to enter and it’s now every day of the week you have to pay for it, sadly you would see Ku Bar became a place that only tourists visiting Central can afford and they naturally don’t care whether the music and the atmosphere honours queer culture, I guess that’s why the club at night only play electronic music and not a single queer hit.”
