“I would give 0 stars if I could. Staff physicality assaulted us we left due to someone in our party being drunk and they were not helpful or nice. When using the bathroom men forcibly entered in even though we were undressed. Overall the worst experience at a bar/lounge/nighclub.”

“We went last night, a Friday night. We were a party of fifteen celebrating a Friend's Birthday. The cocktails were quite good. The Staff were okay. I struggled with the DJ most of all, hence the 3 star review. He would play one or two good songs and then several that you could hardly dance to. People were standing around talking in the dance floor and for a group of Friends who love to dance, this was hard for us. Several groups left earlier than us. The Starlight Room being in a Kimpton Hotel, a plus for dog owners like myself. We saw a couple with their dog enjoying their drinks, the views and the music.”

“Only been here once while in town from EU, was for UHual all female night and the eye candy was fantastic. Hot women of all backgrounds, love it! Def going back just for that. Plus free before 9pm, good deal before things get too crowded. We loved that it wasn’t too crowded too. Enough people but also plenty of space to chill and dance.”

“Recently was at this venue for the Pancakes and Booze Artshow (I was a vendor) and it was an amazing time. 2 floors. 2 bars, too much good art! Definitely need to catch it next time it's being held here! The security is friendly, the batgrooms and well tended to, the coat check people are amazing...the list goes on and on!”

“We bought out the Monroe for a company party for ~150 people and it was fabulous! The owner was easy to work with and added in a lot of personal touches to the space that we weren't expecting. The venue size was great for our group size, however if you plan on hosting 200+ people it would be tight and resemble more of the club atmosphere that you'd see on a typical night at the Monroe. We used one of the caterers the venue suggested and the food was fantastic. Also, in terms of renting the space, the pricing was quite reasonable for a full venue buy out + what you get compared to other downtown SF locations that we looked into. Overall, I'd be happy to host another event here in the future!”

This place changed a lot , it was great before but now it's a trash go! You pay $30 and you get kicked of someone else fault without investigation! Go somewhere else and have fun.”
