“Nice spa, but a few moments to keep in mind before you go there. First, it’s not allowed to talk to each other during your time there, so if you want to come with a friend and chat freely - that’s not an option, since staff is circling around and ask to be silent. Second, you cannot use any electronics inside, means you have to leave in the locker everything including your phone. Last thing, is that you have to eat before you go, or plan to do it after. Even though there is a cafe onsite, you cannot leave spa, then get some food and go back. I feel like this is worth mentioning before you plan your spa day.”

“Such a magical healing and peaceful place. Service is 5 stars. I received a massage from Felicity who I must say has healing powers! I could tell she truly cares about making sure the client will be relaxed and whatever areas are a concern will be addressed. I fell asleep multiple times during my massage with her and I typically never fall asleep during massages. I had the hot oil scalp treatment. Another highly recommend add on service. You won't regret it. Following this I had a tub/sauna session. The rooms are private, clean, and you are also given tea. I suggest bringing some form of shower slides/sandals to easily move through the spa/take a shower before going into the tub. I also suggest bringing quarters if you'd like to park in the front, most of downtown Santa Cruz has meter parking. You'd have to park/walk pretty far if you forget change. However if you did forget change the receptionist was able to exchange a couple dollars I had which I truly appreciated because inflation has taken over the meters and I did not have enough.”

“A wedding anniversary visit found us finally making it here to enjoy the Ultimate Experience package. We started out in an intimate tea room with a wonderful cleansing tea and view of the garden. Next it was off to the cedar bath, which was absolutely remarkable and relaxing. Go first thing in the morning for best experience as it's at its warmest. A quick shower after the bath had us ready for a massage, with a short stop in the meditation garden to cool off and relax. The massage was definitely one of the best I've had, leaving us relaxed, refreshed and in tune with the garden. A must see at this point is the generational koi pond. We ended our 4 hours with a excellent facial before enjoying a little lunch and soaking in the peaceful surroundings. Highly recommend!”

“OVERALL EXPERIENCE: decently priced and enjoyed my massage! I do wish that they wore masks, since they tend to hover over your face while massaging your scalp and face. AMBIANCE: Relaxing. DRESS CODE: Come comfy and in casual clothes! Ditch the makeup if you're doing the steam room or facial massage! EXPERIENCE: My friends and I came and we all got the Ruby Package (120mins for glass of champagne or white wine, steam room, reflexology, and body massage). - The steam room was nice, but I prob wouldn't recommend bringing your drink in with you (due to the steam, I had droplets from the ceiling fall into my cup :| gross!). I wish they provided water to you when you come out. - Reflexology was good (please note that you are in a room with six other people). Eddie was assigned to me and his strength was perfect for me! I felt he could've massaged my scalp a bit more, but he did a great job on my legs and feet! My friend felt that her masseuse did not do a great job and was a bit "laxed" with her feet and toes. - Body massage (we were able to have a private room for us) and it was amazing! Eddie really got my knots out and the pressure was perfect! - At the end, I wish they provided warm/hot water rather than cold water. ADDITIONAL INFO: - The women's locker room has two showers, no toilet (located in another area). There is a table and blow dryer if you wish to get ready/look more presentable. - If I come back, I would prob bring a small face towel, as I feel it would be more sanitary (at least for me) - Bring your own water bottle, as their cups are very small - Bring cash for tip! You can pay for the service with your CC, but cash is highly preferred for tip. PRICE: Ruby Package was $168 (with card) $160 for cash (120mins total) PARKING: they have a few reserved spots in a small parking lot a block away (across from US Bank; please note it is not at US Bank). Look for the spaces marked 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 (I think those were all the numbers), but they also have a sign indicating "Cascade Spa" and you can always call to confirm. Service: 4/5 stars Venue: 4/5”

“After reading multiple reviews, I was nervous for my appointment today but once arriving, I paid and was shown around the facilities. The areas are very clean, and inviting. The facility is nude in the hot tub/cold tub, steam & dry sauna as they state on their website. While, yes women of all different shapes and sizes were present (this angered me from the previous review) I never once felt uncomfortable or as if I needed to cover. I minded my business, just like everyone else. Having nude communal area for a spa experience is very common in the Asian culture. I did carry around my small towel to the sauna & steam room to sit on. There are small curtains in between the wet service area beds, but they weren't pulled. However, most of the time my eyes were closed or covered so I wasn't paying attention to anyone around me during my scrub and massage. The beds are slippery, so beware, but they do help you from falling off. Overall my experience was really calming and relaxing. My skin is so soft and my body feels renewed. Would recommend to anyone wanting a full spa experience, as long as you are comfortable in your own skin!”

“I’ve been to many spas both more low key and high end. I wished I read more reviews and believed them before I went. The environment isn’t very relaxing. It feels more like a gym sauna. The environment doesn’t feel super clean, but instead outdated and dirty. There aren’t that many activities or places to even sit and relax. When you do your scrub and massage, it’s in a communal space. I’ve never had a $150 massage in a communal space before. They limit you to 3 hours total at the spa even if you paid for the full service. At the end of the day, I think my body feels relaxed, but the actual massage and scrub was SO painful and rough. I didn’t feel relaxed during my time at all tbh. For the price of going here, I don’t think it’s worth it. Maybe if it were cheaper? There are better options nearby!”
