“After we read so many good reviews, we tried yesterday this place and we confirm that is a place to visit. We went there without reservation so they ask us if we want to stay to the counter, since they are fully booked (the place is small like so many others in Porto). After few minutes they said to us that one reserved table was still unoccupied and they offered it to us. Generally speaking, they are so kind with us: the guy who served us, spent some time to explain the menu, answering our questions, etc. The food was very very good: we eat a lot of stuff, we get a bottle of wine, they offered to us two glasses of Porto wine and we spent around 15€ per person! The price ratio was insane! Recommended!”

Tried different rissois, all 👍. - Truffle with hazelnut - Shrimp - Misto (ham & cheese) - 2 of those The best one for me was the misto, super creamy cheese! Shrimp was also good! Probably I should have let them cool a bit to really enjoy the taste (for the truffle one for example) Nice local wine and finished with a glass of white port. 20€ and I was full. Nice experience!”

“Good food but don't go on a Monday night as that is kids nights and was like being at McDonalds. There were groups of kids running around, shouting and fighting behind our table, through the restaurant and in the kitchen. This is maybe okay if you are McDonalds serving fast food at fast food prices. This is not okay if you want to be a serious restaurant charging serious restaurant prices. Kindly let your customers know and adjust your prices accordingly.”

“We came to Oficina by recommendation from our hotel and having seen that it’s Michelin recommended we were excited to try the food. For the most part, we were extremely satisfied with the meals we ordered. Although one of our starters was frankly a bit too salty and the “greatest pudding in the world”, as it was called on the menu, was really just too sweet and definitely did not live up to its name. But the worst part of our experience was the service. Not at all on par with what should be a restaurant of this caliber. Although professional in the beginning, the staff comes off as quite cold and unfriendly (no smiles in sight). We had to remind them several times to refill our water glasses once empty because the staff keeps all water bottles and wines separate from the tables and refills. We also had an incident with the refilling of our wine because we had been offered dessert and a coffee/digestive, and only after finishing both our dessert and digestive, our waiter came back to tell us we had wine left to finish. No apology, not a blink of the eye. When trying to make the waiter and staff aware of the issue the manager was completely inexperienced and absolutely unprofessional at dealing with such an issue. We were being convinced that “we didn’t want the wine” or “it is normal for service to serve it through the whole dinner”. Appalling behavior and frankly they made an embarrassing scene that left our entire experience on a very bad note. Service not at all up to par with the quality of the food.”

“The restaurant has good intentions but the food is just not good. We ordered a dish called appearently “Açorda de gambas” which means shrimps and we got someting I can’t even describe with barely shrimp in it (photo). It was not bad but it was definitely not good. The ribs are just mediocre, the meat was not fresh and the price (25€) just did not make an justice. Moreover, the bacalao salad was tiny and very ordinary. Most waiters are very nice and friendly but I think this restaurant must focus more on their food than anything. It was expensive and I felt that the food just did not deserve the price we paid. You can eat much better than this in other restaurants in Porto.”

“Most people from Porto says they have the best cakes in city but this is a misleading information. Cakes are regular and there isn't nothing special about them. I think people didn't have opportunities to try cakes from other cities. I have already tried nicer products from other confectioneries and bakeries. This place does not offer a wide variety of flavors for their cakes. Customer attention is not engaging. Final aspect of custom cakes can be very disappointing. They have no expertise in this area. Do not waste your money here.”
