I see in other reviews there were pictures of sushi but there was no sushi when we came. The ocean salad was delicious, poke was good, and the steamed taro-wrapped chicken and pork were just ok, pretty pricey for lunch though. There is no seating to eat here, not even a bench outside.”

“This is a local food restaurant. It is only available for takeout, but the taste and quantity are very satisfying. If you want to eat poke on Oahu, I highly recommend this place. There is no parking lot, but there is a shopping mall in front, so it is convenient to park. Even if there are many waiting customers, they are all for takeout, so they will be gone soon, so you don't have to wait long.”

“This place was so good when we stopped in! All the ingredients were so fresh and the flavors were awesome. The turkey bacon club was full of fresh ingredients and the eggs benedict were top notch. We also got a hibiscus tea and the coffee special of the day which was a clove lavender latte. They also had tons of other pastries and homemade breads that looked delicious. Definitely stop in if you are in the area. Highly recommend this place! Just beware the road you turn on to get to the place, you will have to dodge some potholes, it’s a little rough.”

“Delicious local, organic, plant-based place for all. Really high-quality food. Our favorite was the Pizza al Taglio. That was a really unique, filling, tasty dish that would be my first choice to eat here again. The jacked up Doria was good and interesting. The ube pancake was really tasty. The mauna kea lava pasta had a nice bake on top, though was not super filling. The drinks and salad were nice. The best part was probably the tomato bisque with the buttered garlic bread on the side. I didn't know we could order the soup separately, but looking on the online menu, you can! We had a mixed bag with service. We came our first day in Kona and the gentleman working there was fantastic. The second day, I don't know if there were too many customers or something else happening. The older blonde lady working there told us to come up to her to order, so we had no table service and we had to tip before eating. Then, despite obviously sharing a meal, she only gave us one utensil for the soup. When my partner started getting frustrated at waiting so long, she checked with the kitchen and saw our order was missed due to there being multiple similar orders. She was disciplining the chef (who seemed new) pretty audibly and explained the situation to us but did not really apologize. She sent a younger blonde server who we had not met yet to apologize to us and offer a free drink or ice cream. The server also saw we were sharing and offered us an extra utensil for the meal. On our third visit, the same younger blonde lady was there and seemed to be working with even fewer staff during a pre-Thanksgiving rush yet gave us fantastic service on a pick-up order. She saved the day for the restaurant and is why I am writing this positive review. We're really happy to see a high-quality vegan restaurant right in the heart of Kona. We hope to see improvements in the service. And if you have made it this far, definitely try Journey's attached ice cream place. It's one of a kind.”

“I was heading to the hostel on my way back from farmers market and decided to give this place a try when I saw the line out the door. One of the best decisions I've made on this trip!!! The prices are super affordable, especially compared to the same things that you'd get at farmers market (like spam musubi). I built a custom bento box for my partner and I and it came out to just over $12. And we have leftovers in the fridge! Super yummy, super affordable, super worth the (admittedly long, but I went about 10am) wait.”

The pho was really flavorful, (chicken pho in beef broth - the chicken was a bit overcooked and had become chewy, but broth was tasty and flavorful, so I’ll recommend it with a different meat). But the winner dish was the Lilikoi chicken with egg fried rice. The chicken was fried in tempura batter with a sweet sauce, which was really great. The egg fried rice itself was packed with flavor (which isn’t common). Service was quick. Portion size was huge!! Note - be careful with parking. The lot says paid parking, we ended up paying. But found out later that for this restaurant, it’s already paid. So skip paying even if the lot says paid parking.”
