“We stopped for lunch here one Sunday. Even with a lot of people in the restaurant the service was quick. The waitress forgot our waters and a part of our order but this was quickly fixed so A+ recovery. The food itself was full of flavor and very well priced. They had several sauce options, 2 of which seemed to be made in the kitchen and were absolutely delicious. I couldn’t get enough of them. Then afterwards we went next door to the grocery store for some snacks straight from Mexico. Overall a great experience.”

Very satisfying to taste, along with walking up and down the street, or sitting at one of their picnic tables. Even though they were very busy that evening, I was able to receive my order within minutes! I had so much fun!”

They recommended the grinder so that's what l went with. Very good sandwich. It was spicier than I expected, but I love a little spice. The tiniest skimpy on the filling. Bun was soft and fresh. I added chips and a cookie for a total of $11. Fair pricing! Everyone working was pleasant. I chose to take mine to work to eat, but there is a dine in option, too. Very cool place that I will visit more often! When I remember!”

“The food here is very good. The coleslaw was flavorful with just the right amount of vinegar. The turkey, bacon, and cheddar was on toasted bread which makes all the difference. It also came with veggie straws which I don't care for. The service was pleasant and my food came quickly. The prices were ok, not high but not low either, pretty average. The latte was well made and very hot which was excellent. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a small town vibe with very nice people and delicious food.”

“I've been in the Davenport area for a few days now, and a good friend of mine and his family wanted to try Lunardi's for the first time since they were new to the area.. Everyone I talked to said it was a great venue with great food, so we rolled in on a Wednesday night and gave it a shot!! Let me say this.. Lunardi's delivered a grand slam, and they were exactly as everyone recommended.. We sampled their fried ravioli appetizer, the sausage & sun dried tomatoes in cream sauce, the lasagna della casa, and fettuccine alfredo with chicken.. Each one of those was awesome in their own right, but that lasagna was the star 🌟 of the show.. Seventeen layers of seasoned Ricotta, pepperoni, meatballs, Italian sausage, and Mozzarella and Romano cheeses served piping hot from the oven in a small casserole dish.. Each of us tried it, and just over half remained to be taken home.. The service was on point, too, and the restaurant was clean and inviting.. I will most assuredly visit Lunardi's again should I visit the Davenport area in the future!! I have included pics that describe each of three dishes.. The prices on the pics are a bit dated, but each of these is worth every penny of the current prices..”

“Finally stopped by the famous Bordenaro's during the start of the blizzard last night. Gf & I were greeted by friendly server, made recommendations on the Bordy pizza, full order off onion rings to go! While we were waiting we were persuaded in trying the house salad, with homemade Creamy Italian dressing! The salad was amazing! When we got the food home we were amazed at the pizza, homemade crust no wonder this place is voted best pizza in Des Moines! Now their onion rings were amazing, glad we got the large! Definitely be back! Ps best damn leftover pizza I have ever had!”

“Mom & Pop diner. Comfort food. I had the Gyros Supreme. The food was great and the owner served us herself. The gyros tasted authentic (for Iowa, this is not Greece) and feta cheese, onions and tomatoes were included with the meal. The tzaziki sauce was homemade and good. The owners were friendly and personable. Greeted us coming in and thanked us as we left. They have been in business for over 15 years with a winning combination.”

“I stopped here for lunch and the place was really busy, but the drive thru and counter service. After a short wait I placed my order for ½ order of hot turkey and ½ order of hot beef so I could try both. This is one of the only places I have ever seen the ½ order available, it’s a great idea. They brought my food to my table and the first thing I noticed was the turkey sandwich not only had mashed potatoes, but it also had stuffing, all generously coated in gravy. The Turkey was tender and flavorful. It was a good portion considered it was a ½ order. The beef came with mashed potatoes and gravy. The beef looked dry, but it tasted good. The gravy was also good tasting. If I had to say anything, the mashed potatoes needed salt, which is an easy fix table side. Other than that, this was a great meal for the money and the ½ orders are really nice to see, I wish more places had that. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in the area.”

Another man working there gruffly said "order soup over there" immediately. We ordered our soup and requested dinner rolls. The woman serving soup just pointed. No words, nothing. We had to determine where the rolls were and had no idea we needed to add them ourselves. NO CUSTOMER RESPECT. And then they had the audacity to ask for a tip. Here is one -- train your employees to be helpful.”
