Asked for a new one, but they came back with the same thing. Waiter seemed a bit rude? He didn't seem very friendly, and wasn't really patient either. They weren't busy. Not sure if it was just his demeanor. Idk.”

“This is an old school 70’s-80’s taco joint. These types of restaurants are dying out across the country, but Wichita has its share of them. Their taco burger is one of the best in the city. Crunchy taco doesn’t disappoint. I recommend this place if you want to tour old school taco joints. These places are like the national chains, but have kept what is good and classic with these types of restaurants.”

“Ordered French toast combo with sausage and over medium eggs. Eggs were on the over easy side, sausage tasted like it was sitting under a warmer in a tray for a while, French toast was flimsy. All food was more luke warm, but on the cooler side of luke warm. Had to eat it though before it got any colder bc my server never came back over after the manager brought my food out. Definitely a one and done experience.”

The Navy transferred me away in 2006 and I didn't have the opportunity to return until today. It's exactly the same. The neighborhood has gentrified and construction is happening all around, but Benny's is an anchor that holds Golden Hills to its roots. Sorry it took me so long to return, I'll try not to wait 17 years for my next visit.”

I dislike very much eating in dark and dismal places; particularly, if it's dingy during the day. However, I tagged along on a birthday dinner on Dec 27th (their favorite place) and was pleasantly, pleasantly surprised by the cheery and comfortable environment. The decor was tasteful and the holiday decorations fun. I couldn't remember my years-ago impression of the food because the atmosphere overshadowed my meals then. But I certainly remember my delicious food this time as well as my experience. My mom happens to like Felipe's as well. I think I'll ask her if she wants to go this evening. She'll be shocked. I've been declining for over a decade.”

“Eat at this restaurant! Incredible and authentic food. Hung out here on a rainy Sunday and it was very relaxed — staff were very kind and friendly. I ordered: Spicy dumplings (out of this world) The Sichuan green beans Braised pork belly rice Mai cai hot pot w/vegetables and rice on the side (this dish is very spicy and cleared out my sinuses in no time, it is full of healthy veggies so it’s perfect for winter colds!) And I had leftovers for days :) I will definitely be back here!”

“Wow! What a find! The scoop sizes are ginormous! They do offer a split scoop which is two smaller scoops of differing flavors. That's what I got so I could try more. I had the coffee and cookies and cream flavors and they did not disappoint. My husband had the coffee and dark chocolate flavors and loved them both. The seating areas are great. Nice area with a firepit on the side. Also noticed lots of people coming here on foot. Wouldn't that be a dream? We stay in south Overland Park so this was a bit of a drive, but we will be back! Gotta try some more flavors. I might suggest that maybe they find away to offer a plain milk chocolate flavor. So many people like myself can't eat dark chocolate because it is a trigger for migraines.”

“Excellent flavors. Friendly staff. Maybe a little eccentric as there were little notes everywhere. But, they will bring the heat if that’s your thing. First time I went was a number of years ago and I got a spice level 3. (Note: spice levels start after mild, medium, and spicy) I was not prepared… this time I got a level 1 and that was much better, perfect amount of spice for me. Got the Arwan Special with steamed rice, summer rolls, and crab & cheese wontons. Summer rolls were average, but everything else was definitely worth the trip!”
