901 Roosevelt Trail, Windham, ME 04062, United States

“This was my first visit to Maine during a business trip, and since my company is conveniently located near this restaurant, my boss highly recommended their seafood. We chose to have lunch here, arriving slightly past noon on a Friday, and were pleasantly surprised to find a brief wait for a table. To me, this signaled a positive sign. For my meal, I indulged in 6 oysters, shrimp cocktails, bacon-wrapped scallops, and a lobster roll. I must admit that the seafood here surpassed my expectations in terms of taste and quality. I'm thoroughly convinced that this place knows its seafood well, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. What sets this establishment apart is that it's not just a restaurant; it also operates as a seafood market. People can stop by to purchase fresh seafood to enjoy at home. During our meal, I noticed several customers dropping by to buy seafood for later. Additionally, the spacious parking lot adds to the convenience. Our waitress was remarkably attentive and detailed. She took the time to explain any dish modifications and provided alternative options when needed. Her attention to detail was commendable, and it enhanced our dining experience. All in all, I would confidently give this place a 5-star rating. I'll definitely make a return visit whenever I have the opportunity and will wholeheartedly recommend it to my friends.”

Big Top Delicatessen

“What a wonderful atmosphere! Staff are friendly, helpful and the food is good! The cashier Michael was especially wonderful. When I said I was vegan, he said he would make the sandwich he makes for his mom and I really enjoyed it! We don't live in the area, but if I did I would be there often. My family liked their food too (a burger and roast beef sandwich)”

The Sinful Kitchen

952 Brighton Ave, Portland, ME 04102, United States

“The Sinful Kitchen is a staple in our Maine rotation any time we visit. From the moment we stopped in the very first time, we were welcomed like they'd known us our whole lives. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and helpful, ensuring that you receive the best service possible. The food though...the food. Wow. Everything - literally everything - I've had here the many times we've stopped in has been nothing short of delicious. My spouse jokes with me because I often get the omelette wherever I go, but Sinful Kitchen has so many great options that I always seem to find myself going for waffles or french toast here - often the special that is of the stuffed variety. The Sinful Kitchen is an absolute gem and one place that we always look forward to dining at when we visit. Can't wait to come back!!”

Lazzari

“9/30/23 - Visiting from VA, and decided to come here after walking about downtown a bit. There wasn't too much of a wait which was nice. A Bill Burr show just ended so it seemed a bit busier. There seemed to be only one waiter and he was moving. He definitely did the best he could. The food was okay. My fiancé got the margarita pizza and it was pretty cold. I got a Caesars salad which was really good. I loved the seasoning/dressing. Our local friends got a sausage pizza and seemed to like it. The vibe was nice in there too. It was interesting to be able to see the cooks cooking too. I loved seeing the bricked oven. Was a good spot for fast food.”

Golden Rooster

“Hearty, Local, Family Restaurant 🐓 The Golden Rooster is a main street kitchen: The service staff move fast, but stop to chat; breakfast comes out hot and tasty, no matter how busy it is; and my coffee cup somehow managed to be always magically filled✨️: Bonus, they have gluten-free toast. 😊”

Le Mu Eats
4.8
( 8 reviews )

119 Main St, Bethel, ME 04217, United States

“My husband and I have been to a lot of restaurants in a lot of places, as a glance at my past reviews can confirm, and Le Mu Eats is without question one of my absolute favorites we have ever been to anywhere! Absolutely everything was incredible- the food and drink, every person we interacted with, the atmosphere, the fact that they care about each other and support local, even down to the smallest details like chilled glasses with our water. To say we were impressed would be a cosmic understatement. We visited on one of our final days staying in town or I'm sure we would have been in daily. When you care about what you do and the people you do it with it shows and the heart poured into Le Mu Eats is undeniable. I sincerely cannot wait to visit again someday. Highly, highly recommend!”

“If you're in the mood for a delicious sandwich, look no further than this local sandwich shop and store! From the moment you walk in the door, you're greeted with friendly smiles and great customer service. The menu boasts a variety of delicious options, but the Cuban is truly outstanding. The bread is perfectly toasted, the pickles are tangy, and the pork is juicy and flavorful. I've had Cubans from many different places, but this one definitely stands out as one of the best. The steak and cheese sandwich is another standout item on the menu. The steak is tender and well-seasoned, and the melted cheese adds a gooey, comforting element to the sandwich. It's an excellent choice for anyone looking for a hearty and satisfying meal. Overall, I absolutely love going to this sandwich shop and store. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the service is top-notch. Whether you're in a rush or looking to sit down and savor your meal, this spot is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!”

Barreled Souls Brewing
4.8
( 8 reviews )

743 Portland Rd, Saco, ME 04072, United States

“This was a wonderful brewery with a very strong & perhaps solely focused on barrel aging. I have to admit, this was a quick stop & we had plenty other breweries to visit so we couldn't drink too much & stay too long. The walk in is like walking into the bottom of a mansion with a great vibe. They have a food truck & a large seating area outside. If ever back this way, I intend to call in for a longer visit for sure. The staff was very helpful & kind to us when we asked for samples.”

Jonathan's Ogunquit
4.4
( 8 reviews ) $$

92 Bourne Ln, Ogunquit, ME 03907, United States

“I rarely give 5 stars. I found this place through the open table app. This was one of the nicest dinners I have had in a while. I had the Mediterranean pasta in a red sauce with lamb sausage and a dollop of goat cheese on top. Was outstanding. My wife had the braised beef ... melted in my mouth when I tasted it. The ambiance was perfect. music (piano and sax) perfect. The servers (Ulises and Luis) were outstanding. it was our anniversary and they made it special without being asked. This is a MUST try... but watch as the sign is difficult to see. look for the international flags out front. I found this place by chance via the recommendations on the open table app. Twas perfect. Thank you Open Table, and thank you Jonathan's!!”

Tinder Hearth
4.9
( 16 reviews ) $$

1452 Coastal Rd, Brooksville, ME 04617, United States

“Tucked away in Brooksville, Maine, you'd be forgiven if you mistook Tinder Hearth for just another countryside retreat. But as we walked the flagstone path, lined with fragrant herbs and edible flowers, it became clear that this was an ode to the art of pizza. And then there's the pizza. It's a revelation. The crust, blistered from the wood-fired oven, is perfectly chewy and crisp. The toppings, an ever-changing parade of local produce, taste of the seasonal picks from the farmer’s market. But Tinder Hearth is more than its pizzas. Salads, fresh from the garden, burst with colors and flavors so vivid they almost eclipse their pizza partners. Freshly shucked oysters, wine and beer options were available - with classic soft serve for dessert. The space is very family friendly, but leave your dogs at home. Would I drive the winding roads to Brooksville just for a pizza? In a heartbeat. Because Tinder Hearth isn't just about pizza. It's about celebrating Maine, one slice at a time.”

Shipyard Brewing Company
4.4
( 8 reviews )
Open until 07:00 PM

86 Newbury St, Portland, ME 04101, United States

“We like Shipyard’s pumpkin beer when we had it back in California so decided to go to the brewery to have it there. We were so excited to try it out. Just note that the initial smell can be overwhelming at first but it’s just bc it’s normal brewery smell. The beers were good and we enjoyed the pumpkin beer and the blueberry beer from Sea Dog Brewing the best. But those we’ve had back at home before. None of the new ones we tried were too memorable. Nice decorations of the place though and friendly bartenders.”

Lone Pine Brewing Company

219 Anderson St, Portland, ME 04101, United States

“The infamous lone pine brewery! We got some flights here and a few “swag” items. The beer was good, but overall Thai location was a bit underwhelming. Not the most memorable brewery in Portland, but their beer does certainly pack a flavour pallet punch!”

Unity House Of Pizza

“New to the area and ordered my first pizza a few days ago. Delicious. They made it just how I asked (nice and crispy). Really good sauce, and perfect amount of topping. Happy to have a go-to pizza place close by!”

“Amazing food and underpriced! The Alfredo sauce option on the filet was delightful! Scallops perfectly seared.”

Waves Restaurant
4.6
( 8 reviews )

43 Commercial St, Boothbay Harbor, ME 04538, United States

“Very busy breakfast place, and well worth the wait! The dining room is cozy and crammed. The Hangover Hash I had is next-level delicious, and they don't scimp on the portion size at all. They slow cook and shred the corned beef in house, and it's amazing. The marble rye bread toast is perfect with it. The Blueberry stuffed French toast is so good. Loved this place.”

House Of Pizza
4.3
( 8 reviews )

990 Main St, Sanford, ME 04073, United States

“The house of pizza has good tasting food. However, if you can get through the brutal attitudes of the people that work there, you might be able to enjoy your meal. The staff can be rude, condescending, and pushy.”

On The Vine Marketplace
4.5
( 8 reviews )
Open until 07:00 PM

591 US-1, Scarborough, ME 04074, United States

“I love this place! Best quality foods, wines, brews and beautiful household gifts. Just got groceries and said to the lovely cashier lady that if they had coffee and seating I'd just chill with a cuppa. She said 'we do', whaaa?!! So, now I am enjoying my coffee and listening to some awesome vintage rock played at just the right volume. I think I wanna work here the vibe is wonderful.”

Five-o Shore Road
4.5
( 16 reviews ) $$

50 Shore Rd, Ogunquit, ME 03907, United States

“What an absolute perfect spot for a date night. Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful in describing menu items. We couldn't choose between the arancini and meatballs appetizers so we got both! I'm so glad we did. Both were just delightful. For our mains we got the bolognese and gnocchi entrees. Both were devine. Fresh flavors and ingredients. Rounding things out with the pumpkin bread pudding and an espresso martini! We already can't wait to go back.”

Damon's Pizza And Italians
4.2
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

244 Western Ave, Augusta, ME 04330, United States

“After years of frequenting Damon's, finally the prices and lack of quality service has overtaken the usually good food, however, now the food has taken a step back, and so it's absolutely no longer worth the cost. A "Big Dave" is their flagship food item and it's pathetic these days: it's mostly bread and has a shadow of the toppings that once used to get jammed into this monster sub. The cost on this is $22! See the picture below for just how disproportionate the bread to toppings ratio has become. It's clear that they don't teach or train how to speak to customers. When you pay, their folks tend to be rude with a lack of professionalism. Busy or not, I usually feel rushed or feel like they are rushed. They cannot be trusted to do what you ask. Mayo on the side? Extra dipping sauce? These requests have been a miss for years, but it's even worse these days. They serve hot and cold food, but take no steps to ensure hot stays hot and cold stays cold. You wanted cold Cole slaw? Unfortunately they package it in the container with hot fries and chicken. I want my sub to be cold, but they put it in the bag with the fried food. I've even had entire orders (hot and cold food) all placed on the top of their oven, which is just the worst place for cold items. Just not what it used to be.”
