“The atmosphere was good, the food was okay. Not quite to my taste, however okay. The Kingfish has a weird after taste that hits the back of your throat… as you swallow. I thought it was just me, however the wife has the same thought. Presentation is awesome, taste, not so much. I wouldn’t order that again. The prawns… big tasty, but only three, not a little sprinkling of salad, nothing just three big prawns 🦐 tasted great, sauce was good, lacked a bit of presentation. The potato gems.. good. Not being a big fan of marty sauce it was great to see they had the other sauce I could use. The Korean chicken 🍗 nice little side salad, presentation was good, the actual chicken was cooked to perfection. Beautiful and moist, a little too spicy for my liking, however that chicken was great.”

“Even on a 41 degrees day, my meal was so delicious. Friendly staff, food came out within about 6 minutes. Best American type burger I've had here in Australia. Plenty of US sodas to choose from. I got the Cheezy - E burger. It was delicious. The meat tastes like it is caremilsed on the outside which makes it extremely tasty. The pickles were the best and the potato bun - delicious. The loaded fries were a massive serve and were very well seasoned. I loved the taste of the American cheese on the fries. I'll be visiting again.”

“Heritage Wine Bar always delivers amazing quality in all aspects. I experienced my first degustation there in 2021 to celebrate my engagement! The food and wine pairings was amazing. The venue is beautiful and I love the charm of the interior design. Then in 2022 we decided to have our wedding there as a cocktail style dinner with 100 of our guest. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves with the great food and service. There was 20 kids at the wedding the the team were kind enough to prepare some activities for them in a little room to the side. Celebrating one year of marriage my husband and I went back and we were warmly greeted with yet again another wonderful experience. Special shout out to Kale and James who remember us!”

“As far as Japanese restaurants go Is Donburi isn’t too bad. The sushi rolls are good quality, and they are definitely quite creative. The food trends on the slightly more expensive side - whether it’s worth it will really depend on the individual. They have a pretty good menu with a lot of dishes, won’t say that I was blown away by anything but nothing was bad. The place is nice, unique layout for sure - and there are quite a few seats so you shouldn’t have a problem getting a spot. Parking is typical city parking which isn’t fantastic during peak times. Service was great though, the lady who served us was incredibly polite and the food came out quite fast despite there being quite a few patrons in the restaurant when we were there. There are better Japanese offerings out there for the price, but this will always be a pretty safe bet.”

“We were here for a wedding reception dinner on a weekend evening. The restaurant was fully chockablock with the wedding taking up 8-9 tables at the end partially partitioned from the front half while there was a 60th birthday. While the place was noisy and buzzing, that’s a typical sign of a good restaurant. However, it was the dirty and oily utensils and table napkins that reduced some stars rating for us. This was the first time our friends had to wash and disinfect all the chopsticks, cups and kids cutleries with hot chinese tea in a bowl in Australia, a practise we regularly do in Malaysia. Nevertheless all the fine cuisine were delicious, from the succulent Peking ducks to the fresh lobster yee mee, crabs and steam fish. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious cuisine despite the initial hiccups, and the waitstaff tried their bests to keep up with a clearly hectic night. They also proactively offered take away containers for us with leftover so they don’t go to waste.”

“We usually toss up between City Garden or Uncle Billy’s - opposite side - in Northbridge China town , as they’re institutions & one of the few places in Perth open to the early hours! It was opened until 4am on Friday, 2.30am all other days & closed Wednesday. Tonight we went to City Garden and ordered the salt and pepper squid 🦑 $23.80 & fresh lemon tea 🍋 $4.30 & sat outside with the heaters before moving inside. Although the squid tasted freshly battered and cooked,it took a bit long to arrive & the serving was a bit small for the price. However the atmosphere is buzzing & always has lots of characters after a late night out. Take cash for 5% discount on bill 💵 #citygarden”
