“First time going here and only the second time I’ve had Afghan food so I’m far from being an expert. Everything we had was delicious! We had the vaziri kebab and a couple of soltani kebab plates. Very flavourful with the seasonings and their spicy tomato sauce went so well with the kebabs. I loved their green tea as well. I think there were some spices in it as well. I detected some cardamom. Lovely experience! Highly recommended.”

“I started with the “sage advice” cocktail. Delicious, but disappointed they put persecco in it instead of champagne per the menu. Service was very good, but a a few times we had to wait for plates while dishes were already on the table. My wife had the “bespoke” wine pairing and I had the “full”; on three occasions we were served the same wine which I found odd. The wines should be different labels in my opinion. The uni, baked oyster and pork belly were all amazing, the Foie Gras with focaccia took the cake in my opinion. We did the 40 bites tasting menu which comes in six “waves” with multiple dishes at once. Food was amazing overall I just felt the experience didn’t match the price tag - which of course can be remedied with small changes. Incredible overall and definitely recommended.”

She was very attentive and friendly, and made our birthday celebration extra special. The food was delicious and filling. It was suggested that the best way to dine here is by sharing plates, which we did. The mushroom dish was divine, and the overall vibe was cozy. I went to apply for a visa at the US embassy and they didn't allow me to enter with my backpack, I admit that I was desperate, because I didn't know what to do with my backpack. I came to the cafe and asked the attendant to keep my backpack until I got back. She, Michaela, simply saved my day. Of course, after that we enjoyed a coffee and one of the pâtisseries, which, by the way, are very tasty!!!”

“I wouldn’t come here for the pizza, I don’t know if it was an off day but it was definitely burnt. Both my friend’s pizza and mine was fairly burnt in the bottom and the prices are on par with places that specializes in pizzas. That being said, the beer is always good here and they have an awesome selection. I’ve come here for cocktails and beer a bunch of times and the selection is always great. Overall, I’d recommend Spark beer for the drinks rather than the food.”

“Our recent visit to Angelina's Restaurant in Manotic was a mixed bag of experiences. While certain aspects left us impressed, others fell short of expectations. We had a reservation for a party of 10 at 8 pm, but unfortunately, we had to wait for about 25 minutes before being seated. The delay was somewhat compensated by the waitress, who graciously offered us a couple of complimentary appetizers, which was a nice gesture and helped alleviate the initial inconvenience. The service throughout the evening was exceptional, with the waitress being attentive and accommodating. Despite the initial hiccup, the staff's effort to make us feel comfortable was appreciated. However, the real disappointment came with the food. My wife ordered the chicken parm, and it arrived at our table overcooked and burnt. Similarly, our friend's fillet mignon suffered the same fate. Additionally, the pasta accompanying the dishes was notably dry. We brought this to the attention of the manager, who promptly replaced the burnt dishes and assured my wife that she wouldn't be charged for her meal. Unfortunately, the positive impression of the service was somewhat tarnished when we discovered that my wife had still been charged for her dish. This oversight felt unprofessional and left us with a sense of dissatisfaction. The desserts were a redeeming factor, albeit just okay. While they didn't reach the same level as the service, they provided a decent conclusion to the meal. In conclusion, Angelina's Restaurant in Manotic offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with commendable service. However, the inconsistency in the quality of the food, coupled with the billing error, makes it difficult to wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant. Whether or not to return would depend on improvements in the kitchen and a more meticulous approach to customer billing.”

“Finally tried San Marino's a few days back and their pizza lived up to the hype. Had been hearing great things from so many people and I'm glad it turned out to be worth it. Got the San Marino's special with peppers, onions, ham and cheese and a thin crust. The delivery was quick, within 30 mins and the taste was top notch. They are pricier when compared to some pizza chains but it's worth it if you crave a good pizza. Yummy crust, generous amount of cheese and toppings. No wonder they're a Nepean/Barrhaven institution 😀”
