There were no complaints. All the sandwiches were perfect. The carrot cake was probably the best I have ever tried. Chock full of walnuts and carrots. Also EXTREMELY accommodating in terms of both vegan food for me but also vegan/gluten free/soy free food for my dear who has really bad gluten and soy allergies. Also really great to eat somewhere and not be one of the few non-white people there. It felt like a really great safe place. When I was there, there was a cute queer couple in the corner holding hands, a youngish group with a small child in a high chair, and various groups of friends speaking in English and other languages. Everyone seemed super relaxed. Sadly not everywhere in Boston feels as accommodating and inclusive as this place. This is now one of my top picks in the Boston area.”

We enjoyed fried calamari and mozzarella arancini both were delicious. She had the lobster stack for dinner and she said she must've died and went to heaven. I had sciue sciue which was spicy and I paired it with sausage. We were too full for dessert but we're planning to go back to try the tiramisu and the chocolate de pot creme.”

“After the epic failure of a meal earlier in the day, I had to find something to remedy the taste buds. As I began to drive back towards Boston, I searched for possible options along the way that were recommended restaurant stops for their food quality. This Colombian restaurant popped up on the list and immediately beckoned a slight detour to visit. As New England states are so tiny compared to the West Coast, it wasn’t long before I exited the freeway and parked along the street outside Panela. While the restaurant had a large space (noticed later there was a dance floor) and an almost equally large bar area, there were only a couple patrons that day - nursing their beers and quietly chatting. Service was fast and prompt and menus were on the table before I even sat down. Water showed up shortly before I was given a little more time to peruse the menu. It was an interesting menu and well thought out. I had no idea what to order so I just followed my gut on what I felt like gorging on (and was glad I did). I won’t go much into dissecting each dish. But I can tell you that the flavors were balanced and pleasant. Each bite beckoned more until the plate was empty. I couldn’t stop myself. I had to keep going on everything disappeared from the table. It’s one of those times that you’re not claiming a dish to be perfect in whatever culinary pedigree BUT that it’s so balanced in flavor that your palate is tickled in all forms. It was a tongue-gasmic moment and immediately remedied the most boring meal on earth that I just had earlier today. PS. Researched the background of the restaurant later on. Now everything makes sense. I applaud your need to create and represent. Cheers.”

The room is bright and comfortable, the food is fresh and beautifully presented, and service is friendly and professional. With friends we had great food and a pleasant evening. Beer was served good and cold with a frosted glass. A simple glass of wine was properly cool as well. We didn't do appetizers, but ordered a Beef Salad, quite delicious with super fresh greens and herbs, grilled steak. A grilled salmon dish was well dressed with mango, and pad thai was hot and good. There's plenty of parking, and handicapped accessibility. Children would like the food. The restaurant is sparkling clean and fresh, and so were the servers. A nice atmosphere in an unfussy way.”

The girl seemed to be annoyed just by her facial expression. She was nice, but you can just tell that she doesn't want to assist us with the orders. I don't really care if we are surrounded by too many people, but the front was packed with a lot of employees that made us feel claustrophobic. They seemed to just be hanging, not working. We were happy to taste new restaurants, but their hostility, is not right. Extremely upsetting and disappointing. Perhaps it will be the first time and last time we go there. We didn't even get attended when we were done by the waitress. We waited and waited, no show up. I had to get up and let know we were done. The gentleman was nice but, seriously? Very rude waitress and just the atmosphere, wasn't pleasant. It felt intolerant.”
