“Following someone else's review I thought I would visit this place with the view of arranging a group ride to here. Plenty of parking front and rear, toilets are at the front. Plenty of seating indoors and outside there's covered seating as well as uncovered with a nice view out back. The shop has a good variety of gifts, crafts, foods and cards with the addition of a post office. Don't forget to check out upstairs too. Now the good part, good selection of homemade cakes in the cafe also available for takeaway :) and the usual selection of drinks. Restaurant also on site and a small garden centre at the rear. Definitely worth a visit, nice area with quiet surroundings.”

“Came here for a birthday and the food was disgusting. The venue was a complete mess! Everything was greasy and tasted of oil, glasses were filthy, staff clueless and pottering around and no food for children unless you pay full price for an oily fish cake. Also, £1.50 for a bread roll and the lobster was drowning in oily garlic so you couldn’t even taste it. When complaining to the staff about things, it took them 20 minutes to change a glass or they forgot about it! Worst meal ever and it was over £200! Their only edible item was the potatoes.”

“Lovely little pub on the river. We visited for a Sunday roast - reasonable price for a huge portion and good food. Admittedly, it wasn't the best roast meat I've had (I had beef, husband had lamb - the lamb was definitely nicer!) but would still definitely visit for a roast dinner and to try their ordinary dinner menu. Also dog friendly which is a massive bonus for us!”

“Booked on recommendation from friends late on a Friday, for Saturday lunch, fully expecting the place to be fully booked. It was no problem to get a table (whether we were shoe-horned in or not) which was typical of the fantastic service we received. George & Millie (apologies if I've spelled that incorrectly) were so friendly. The food was fantastic, my Porterhouse was tender and perfectly cooked, and the wife's beef wellington was superb. Cannot rate this place highly enough.”

“Very fast service, with food arriving about 5 minutes after we ordered. The food portions are quite large, so they are very much worth the money. The food is also very delicious, with the meat being juicy, rice not being sticky and the overall quality of the food excellent. There is also a lot of vegetarian and vegan food options, so there is something for everyone. 10/10 and would recommend. Will come back in the future. The atmosphere was excellent, with a not too quiet and also very relaxed.”

What was great was that the portions are not ridiculously big, but still good value. So we all finished our meals without feeling too full. “Very good farm shop with café Much larger than what I was expecting. Tonnes of different stock available, all looked very fresh and yummy ! There's fruit, veg, cakes, bread products and butchers fridge plus much more as u can see from my photos ! Out side is a kids play area with playground, crazy golf, goats, inflatable slide and an old tractor they can sit on. On the farm next door is a pick your own fruit area, it's huge and the fruit tastes amazing ! This was the aim reason we visited today. Never had such ymy fresh fruit and its good value for money !”
