I had a London Fog Tea with a vegetarian grilled cheese special that came with chips & a salad, complimentary of the chefs. Yes, the food hit the spot & the atmosphere was delightfully charming, but as I was taking in all senses, I was suddenly hit by a 6th. It's not the first time my psychic senses have been activated, but it was my first time having this experience betwixt the throes of a meal. The taste of the food, the original hardwood floors, the cheery kitchen staff - it all triggered a vast array of past life memories to flood my mind. I shook so wildly I unintentionally tossed my drink over the side of the loft in which I was sitting. “This is one of my favorite restaurants, not just in Madison. It’s very cozy, staff is very nice, and the food is incredible. Have been there twice now, and the varying specials have been delicious both times (as well as the items we’ve had from the normal menu). The food is much more interesting than typical Italian fare and every bite was superb, and for a very reasonable price. With glasses of wine, an appetizer, two entrees and a dessert, the bill was only $100. Can’t recommend more highly!”

“I haven't eaten in at this location before. But I did a pickup order today while at work. The front desk staff were very friendly and grab my order in mere seconds. I had the Old Glory cheese curds which definitely are top 10 of cheese curds. The beer cheese and potato soup had way too many potatoes in it for my opinion but was still extremely tasty. Had the chicken chipotle quesadillas. Excellent flavor. They held up really well being a pickup order and walking 5 minutes. The rice and beans were spot on. Great meal overall and not the usual items from the area!”

“Blown away by the quality of the ramen here. It's so delicious and probably the best I've ever had. The homemade egg noodles were super tasty, and the broth was complex and yummy. Soul healing kind of ramen. We will definitely be coming back here regularly and bringing friends from out of town here when they visit. Hell Sauce was awesome and added a great flavor and spice to the dish. Hell Sauce comes in 1-5 levels. We tried 3 this time which was still pretty spicy but nothing crazy. We are going to keep trying the higher levels! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.”

“The seasonal beet hummus wrap was fairly yummy but could have benefited from a spattering of herbs to compliment the feta & hummus. Perhaps a bit more garlic/tahini in the hummus. That said, I had the wrap sans the turkey. Still delicious, though. It came with a side of nice kettle chips that could be substituted with a side salad for a bit more. Overall, great lunch. Nice outdoor seating in back!”

“Just had my first two cheese burgers here with fries and of course frozen custard 🍮 😋. The fries are cut up potatoes, not frozen, which was great. I was torn between the regular fries and the sweet potato fries. I went with what was on the favorites menu, which did not let me down. Ordering was a breeze, as they have a computer system in place that you just tap what you want. Easy Peasy.. Had the choice to eat in or take out. I chose out, so I could eat in the home office right across the street. They do give you a discount when you use cash. Better than Culver's any day.”

“This place is an all time favorite!! Awesome addition to Hilldale Mall. The food here is simple and delicious. Love the Bao buns, soups, dumplings, noodles, and EVERYTHING!! You can order anything of the menu and you will love it. Nowadays, they don’t offer regular plates and serve ware so it’s a little difficult to eat on plastic plates and containers. Hope they bring those back soon. Also, no restrooms available anymore.”

The presentation was absolutely beautiful. The 20% service fee added by default set the experience a little on a wrong foot. While I understand the reason behind this approach, as a customer I rather pay higher dish prices. Transparency sometimes can be hurtful, as many reviews serve as prove. Otherwise, there is two hour parking lot on the same block, so parking was easy. The service was fine as well. Overall we enjoyed the menu offerings and the restaurant.”

“10/10 presentation on the food. I ordered take out via DoorDash. 9/10 on taste. The sushi was very flavorful (I had the rainbow roll and the tuna nigiri and miso soup) the miso soup was less tasteful than the sushi. Somewhat expensive ($18 for the rainbow roll and $8 for the Nigiri which only has two pieces) this could be from DoorDash though. Enjoy this place throughly and I will definitely order again!”
