“Celebrated our son’s birthday at the Antique Bar & Bakery! Loved the atmosphere!! The menu reads like a movie script! There’s movies playing on the walls— circa the 1960’s with scenes of Hoboken. Our Server Jack was AWESOME! He knew the drink and food menu well. Appreciated his recommendations! We made reservations and we were seated while we waited for my daughter and boyfriend. Enjoyed cocktails! Once we were all there!, Jack informed us! We need to place the entire order- appetizers, entrees, sides and desserts! He gave us plenty of time to look over menu! Appetizers were delicious! The meat special was served with sides. The short rib was served over mashed potatoes with a spicy kick. The rest of entrees, you needed to order sides. We ordered way too many sides! The carrots were my favorite side! I absolutely love bread pudding! This bread pudding was top notch! Loved it!!! From the presentation to the taste! And you can order the bread pudding online with goldbelly! We got our check inside a book! Clever!!! Suggest you make reservations! Plan ahead, always traffic to get to Hoboken and you have to find metered street parking. You have to feed the meter until 9pm. Noticed on Sundays they serve brunch! Thank you for a wonderful night with family celebrating our son’s birthday! Looking forward to returning!”

“If I could give 6 start for Service, I would. Popped in just before 4pm and the entire team were welcoming and happy to assist. The indoor dining area is dark but this adds a nice charm to it. There's something about the atmosphere that makes you smile. All the staff are having a great time and it rubs off. The food though... Delicious! Absolutely thrilled I chose this place. The Ropa Vieja was flavoured perfectly and the portion size was almost too much, almost. Definitely worth a visit if you're craving some food and service from the heart.”

“Vito’s is a brilliant little deli on Washington Street. The food here is wonderful, including all the sandwiches. I usually have the Vito’s which is delicious. Please see photo attached. They have some of the best Mutz in New Jersey. The staff are very helpful and very funny. They always make me smile, especially the lady at the cash register, they have a great camaraderie. Neat and clean store, menu has different types of samosa, kebabs, desserts, and few types of biryanis. We loved the samosa chat here. The dish was big, topped with all sorts of sauces. It blended so well. Absolute must try. Liked the kheer a lot too. The chicken samosa was also huge. Didn’t like it as much, as the skin was too thick and over fried. It’s a self service store. Lots of people do take out. Food comes out pretty fast. Looking forward trying other items here.”

“Moved to JC from BK a few months ago. Honestly, the food in this area is just meh…I was grocery shopping next door and randomly stumbled across Our Hero. It’s kind of tucked in and hidden so it’s hard to spot. The smell of fresh bread was what made me stop in and I’m glad I did. Probably one of the best sandwich spots I’ve eaten in awhile. I ordered the Our Hero #10 and it was amazing. Place is cash only but you get so much value compared to the subway across the street. So glad I stumbled upon this place, I’ll definitely be a regular.”

“Very nice. I walked in and had a table, glass of nice Italian red wine and a basket of hot bread all within 7mins. Then comes the Caprese followed by spaghetti puttanesca and more wine and hot bread. The chef ‘Anthony’ came to the table and greeted me and chilled my wine (per my request) and followed up with me all evening. Fantastic meal. Place was very busy and all were enjoying their meals. Folks in/out picking up to-go orders and pizza by the slice as well. Nice place. It will be on my weekly visits!! Thanks Anthony and team for making me feel so special. Tutto bene.”

Highly recommend anything on the menu from the traditional gyro on a pita, Greek fries, platters, soups, salads, and baklava! “This is an Indian Grocery Store in Newport and probably the only store around the vicinity. It has all the items required although a little pricey but you have to pay a charge for convenience. They also have a small kitchen with a limited menu which is delicious. Since the time we ate there we always eat from Prime. “Took a train ride into Hoboken to walk around. Made a reservation here a couple days prior (must have a reservation and cash only). This was our first time at this establishment and it was superb. My dad had stuffed artichoke which he is still talking about. The linguine with clam sauce and lasagna special were outrageously good. The staff is pleasant, friendly and courteous. They have few books, reading corner, big community table at the back and prepared salads/sandwiches etc in the fridge for a quick pick up. Service was friendly and fast.”

“Low key, no frills establishment. Simple seating and service. The food is good and lots of options to choose from. I came for brunch on a January weekend and had no issues finding seats. I ordered the Mac and cheese empanada which was good but I think there are better options available. My friend ordered chorizo ones and they tasted much more flavorful. I also got the strawberry banana smoothie which I highly recommend. Overall, great value for money.”
