“We were looking for an authentic Italian restaurant and found it here. The service from beginning to end was outstanding, Rishap looked after us and was an amazing server, no request was too much, even bearing with my husband's jokes. The food was heavenly, we had the fettuccine vegetali, margarita pizza and vegetali pizza, all were scrumptious. The decor is simple but warm and elegant with comfy chairs and flowers around the restaurant. We all really enjoyed and can't wait for our next visit.”

“Arrived on Sunday. Slight disappointment at first seeing how small and overcrowded the restaurant was. Tables very close together and very loud. Then seeing that there was an outdoor area, we decided to move - best decision ever as our experience instantly changed for the better. The outdoor area with the view is astonishing. The food 10/10 and the young girl who served us, she was very attentive (not over the top nor fake). The outside area should definitely have heaters so we could come out there even in colder days.”

“My husband and I visited the Giggling Squid today at lunchtime for the first time. The food was excellent and of a high quality. Very fresh and tasty. The price seemed reasonable. Impressive choice of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The place was quite empty, only two other tables were occupied. The location is fantastic. Here are our impressions of the exterior of the restaurant. There is a lot to improve in our opinion. The front of the restaurant is partly obscured by a few slightly shabby looking screens and the signage is not easily recognisable. The awning looks dirty and has significant algae growth on it. The restaurant could easily be missed by passers by, particularly when driving up Howardsgate. It's a shame because the location as such and the interior are pleasant.”

“Was looking for somewhere to have Sunday roast for some time now. This place was listed as one of the top places in Hertfordshire serving Sunday roast so I thought I would give it a try! I was not disappointed, I was actually positively surprised! Food was delicious and presentation was excellent. Service was truly incredible- a lot of young professionals hired at this restaurant/bar. Staff were helpful, polite and service was smooth. It’s good to see young people taking their job seriously and providing top customer service. Thank you for having us and I will be returning!”
