“Dang! This place is AMAZING 😍 We came in for a late brunch today. The service was fast and friendly. The stuffed French toast is rich, and tender. The Florentine Benedict is a delight! Their hollandaise sauce is so well balanced. The house potatoes are seasoned well and crispy. Watching the staff work was amazing too. The cooks were clearly having fun with what they were doing, and no one stops moving. Wow. Neurodivergent heads up: as with many diners, it's very loud inside. Ear plugs helped. The lighting is not fluorescent, and is a nice relaxing level.”

“So Soora is the kind of place that would satisfy the cravings of locals among the targeted ethnicity, but not much else. You know, the "local Korean place". All the dishes we've got (egg jjim, galbitang, oyster pajeon, soondae, bibim mul naengmyeon and kimchi intestines) were quite casually tasty, at a comfortable price, and definitely very Korean. That being said, none of them impressed in any meaningful way, and if you're used to Korean cuisine, then everything was pretty much as expected. C-tier it is. The banchan might feel a bit "Americanized" as per my friend's sentiment (seriously, tomato...), but let's be honest. This is Detroit, and if a place is about to go "full Korean", none of y'all are even gonna eat it. All of the chili-based dishes (kimchi, bibim mul naengmyeon, etc.) had their spiciness toned down quite a bit from "Korean hot" as well, but the flavor was still there. The naengmyeon broth was also a little bit sweet. Aside from that, perhaps the only things worth talking about food-wise are how the oyster pajeon didn't actually have much oyster in it, but you won't notice it just casually dining because of how savory the pancake itself is. The honeycomb tripe was also boiled a bit too hard for my liking and had too much of a chew. I also found the restaurant quite cute, despite the initial threatening aura upon arriving at the scene. TL;DR Korean in Detroit. Come if authenticity is what you seek.”

“I’m very hard to please when it comes to Chinese food, so when my husband suggested we find a new place in our new area I wasn’t excited. However, Rainbow exceeded my expectations and my hesitation. We went a week before Christmas and loved it. Fast carry out service, and the spring rolls, egg rolls and pan fried dumplings I had were amazing. My husband had the almond chicken and fried rice and loved it. We enjoyed that first visit so much we went back on Christmas Day and they were PACKED! Yet, my carry out order was ready in just 30 minutes, the owners were super nice and everyone in the restaurant was friendly and happy even though the wait for a table was an hour. I’m not sure about the other reviews, but we absolutely love this place. Try it for yourself.”

“Food was amazing, we got the Chicken Paitan and Black Tonkotsu Ramen with added spice. All of the noodle dishes were delightful, the pork in the tonkatsu was by far a favorite, my wife is not a fan of pork but was surprised how much she loved it in the dish. They are accommodating of allergies and everything was fresh and flavorful. We also had Snow Maiden Sake also quite good. On a second visit we had the Black tonkotsu Ramen again and the Udon Set and were very pleased.”

All ingredients are so fresh and top quality and prepared so good that absolutely everything tastes so delicious 🤤 You should try mixing their house salad with seaweed salad with their homemade ginger 🫚 dressing! My only complaint is the butter on my pizza crust. It almost smelled bad and a overwhelming smell of "bad restaurant" . The presentation and taste of everything else was exceptional. It was only that butter. The 2 guys that helped me were fantastic. I still will stop again(when I have time) 1/24/24 at about 11:30. Great job guys.”

Was I impressed: so delicious, they offer you a good amount, their vegetables are plenty full and diced, and they offer you a hot and sour soup. One standout is their iced coffee, a true gem in the menu. Priced at just $2.50 for a large size, it easily claims the title as one of the best iced coffee I've ever had. “I'm very disappointed with omakase. We tried the Nami, and there were only two pieces that I liked, not two dishes. First, the soup was bland. The second one was the steamed octopus with daikon, which wasn't good at all. The smashed tuna with egg yolk wasn't mixed well, so my dish was really salty, and my companion's dish was tasteless. A major problem that I had with all the dishes was that there was water from the vegetable that ruined the taste of the fish. It is a common sense that you remove most of the water from the vegetable when you pair it with raw fish. I understand that is how you keep them fresh, but you don't have to add that water to the dish. There was a pond of water from all the vegetables in the middle of the plate. Towards the end, I could taste other vegetables on a piece of nigiri where that vegetable wasn't paired with. Also, do not wipe the plate with the towel you use to clean the knife and the cutting board while creating all the dishes. If there is dust or any other residue, just clean it with a dry paper towel or get a different plate, please. For the deep fried shrimp head, I recommend removing the intestines because it is a bitter cold liquid that pops and makes a mess everywhere. I can go on about the other dishes, but I am tired of typing. The two pieces that I liked were sea urchin and the tuna liver nigiri. It was one of the worst restaurants that I have ever tried. I was so excited to try this place, and all it left me was disappointments.”
