Optician Chloe explained a small defect in one eye then set out a plan for future observation in case of a mal-growth increase. Finally staff support Linda, in finalising my requirements, noticed my reading distance slightly abnormal and readdressed her observation with Chloe. Together they made a slight variation to the focal range of my new purchase .... well done Linda. “Incredibly disappointed in my recent experience. I made an appointment for my toddler, during the initial appointment it was determined she may have influenza and they would swab and respond with the results. I called on both Saturday and Sunday and was advised they could not tell me the results and would need to wait for the doctor to come in on Monday to tell me. Meanwhile I have now had an incredibly sick child for more than 48 hours. When I rang on Monday to get the results I was informed I would need to make another appointment and that I would not be guaranteed to be bulk billed. So despite the fact I had an appointment already they now want me to PAY to get the results of a test they did. I'm shocked, and personally find this fairly negligent. I do not understand why I should have to pay again to simply get the result. Prior experiences the doctor would simply ring me. I'm not exactly sure where to to escalate this, but I find it borderline negligent. Especially for those less fortunate who may not have the means to pay.”

“My dentist here is amazing and have only ever had positive and painless experiences. However, recently I was unable to book with my regular dentist online so I booked with another dentist. I received a phone call to confirm my appointment and I then proceeded to ask if my original dentist had left the practice. The receptionist informed me that my dentist is still there but does not take online bookings. I then told the receptionist that I would rather change my booking to be with my regular dentist. We began to discuss availability. As I have moved to regional Victoria for three months it’s difficult for me to see my availability in Melbourne. I asked when the next available was and it was November during the week which didn’t work for me with work. I asked if she could give me some dates/appointments in late December that my dentist was available and I may be able to choose from them as it’s hard for me to get back to Melbourne. She then rudely said to me “just give me a date”. Feeling completely disregarded and rushed, I then said “don’t worry I will book in with my mum when I get the chance because we often see him together”. The receptionist then said “okay do you still want your appointment tomorrow?” I then said “no thank you I’ll reschedule”. Before I finished my sentence and right after I said “no” she hung up on me. Never before have I come across such a rude receptionist. Someone who is supposed to help their clients and work with them to choose a suitable time. Not rush them and be totally rude and condescending. Could not believe the disrespect I received. I hope they record their phone calls. I have never had an issue with any of the receptionists until now, all the others are extremely lovely.”

From getting the eye test done, to consulting with the optometrist who took the time to go into great detail about my testing, to dealing with the optician who took the time to walk me through choosing new frames for my dual focal lenses and measure them against my face to ensure they would work correctly. The staff were a pleasure to deal with and I would definitely recommend paying them a visit if/when you need your next testing done (or just to purchase a new pair of frames - great prices!).”
