Brown Spoon Victoria Park

301 Albany Hwy, Victoria Park WA 6100, Australia

“What is it with dessert 🍨 restaurants in Perth and it being always packed. Could it be with the sweltering heat of 40 degree heat this week that people are flocking to bingsu kind of desserts to cool 😎 down?? Well got to say this place was packed and loved their brown spoons which came with their bingsu creations. Had Mango, strawberry Oreo and their matcha bingsu. Tasted pretty good with pretty generous toppings. A nice cool dessert during the weekend for what has been a very hot 🔥 🥵 week in Perth.”

“Great coffee, good speedy service (if it’s only coffee you are after), plenty of seating and daily newspapers. I have seen other customers waiting a long time for food but it’s on a pleasant corner of the high street. Highly recommended.”

“Went on a Sunday lunch and it was fairly busy. Staff were friendly. Great atmosphere. The spicy stir fried udon, oyako d and lamb were delicious and very well seasoned. The pork broth congee was good but I would've preferred it to have a bit more flavor but the crueller was very yummy and crunchy, the soy egg was done perfectly. We love the ice coffee and hojicha +rose latte too!”

“Quiet suburban Cafe with a lot of indoor seating. Coffee was excellent. Ciabatta toast was not to my liking but the poached egg and bacon were cooked well. The eggs Benedict (pictured) and Lemon and yoghurt cake was very nice. Lots of other menu items I will come back to try another day!”

Cape Arid Rooms

“Our second visit here and thought I should leave a review. Both visits were excellent. Super service and delicious food. The Cape Arid high tea has to be experienced. Seasonal delights from the region served with freshly baked scones and, if you so wish, we did, a glass of bubbles. As previously we could not finish everything and left with a box of goodies to have later in the hotel. Highly recommended.”

“Melissa and the team made our wedding cake and it was the most incredible cake we could have asked for. We ordered a big bun and lots of smaller ones and they were all amazing – all of our guests were raving about them. To top it off, they delivered to our venue (which was a bit of a trek) and even made us special flavours. They even had gluten free and vegan options available. The only disappointment is that we live interstate and can't get them every weekend! But we'll definitely order whenever we visit WA. Photo by Wild Feathers Creative”
