“Accessible, though I didn't check the bathrooms. Great place! Clean. lots of customers but not packed. A fresh, red carnation on every table was nice. The prices are good, the portions are enormous. Everything came out piping hot. Staff were fantastic! I look forward to going again. I would have liked to have seen more traditional foods on the menu but I'm sure they have to serve what Buffalo will eat.”

“* just don't get the shrimp dumplings * The pork chives stickers were great when dining in - because the crust stays crispy and the fillings were tasty and hearty. I would skip the shrimp dumplings, weird texture and flavor, tasted like a failed fusion attempt. These are thicker skin dumplings like your grandma used to make.”

“Yes, they have Peking duck but please try all the excellent dishes as well. I love their dumplings, soupy and soft and umami. I love their asparagus and their snow peas, tender but crisp and salted correctly. I love their wings, meaty and stuffed to have multiple textures. I love their steak, oh my goodness that sweet salty fatty steak. I recommend basically the whole menu. My advice is to order with balance: sweet and salty, fatty and light. You'll love this place. Also the staff is so cool, they made me feel like I was part of the neighborhood. Thanks for taking care of us.”

“Awesome dumpling spot in suffolk county. I was a little skeptical to try a dumpling spot after working in Flushing so long hut I have this place a try. The food here is outstanding, on par with the best. I went with an order of soup Dumplings and duck buns. The Dumplings were the perfect consistency and texture. None of them broke before I started eating, which was nice. You can taste quality meat in them, not junk meat. The duck buns were equally as good. The bun was fluffy and thick. The ratio of meat, vegi, and bun was perfect. And the sauce was not overpowering at all. The price point was normal for the area. A little more expensive for something better quality, which is okay with me. I'd love to go back with friends and try some different items.”

“One of the best 酒楼 on 8th Ave for a special dinner! Food was incredibly flavorful and fresh. Highly recommend their seafood dishes, especially the steamed crab over sticky rice, and the black pepper lamb chops. We had a VIP room to ourselves on a weeknight without a reservation in advance. Complimentary mango dessert, almond cookies, and assorted fruit. Service was very friendly and attentive. Dishes we ordered: Steamed crab over sticky rice, black pepper lamb chops, jumbo shrimp with walnuts in mayo sauce, macadamia with mixed clams, scallops in black pepper sauce.”

“Delicious meal in an intimate and almost fine-dining setting. There are 2 levels and we were seated on second floor. Our server, Xiomin was attentive and professional, quickly getting us what we order and need. The food itself is tasty and different, especially for someone having Beijing style food for the first time. Price is standard for NYC and our favorite dish was Signature Seafood Bisque that is basic but hit the right spot. Recommend as a must visit restaurant!”

“Id rather get frozen dumplings than eat these dumplings. The taste was completely off, the dipling sauce watered down, and it was NOT pan fried like the menu advertised. Instead, the chicken dumplings were deep fryed in a fryer. I couldn’t eat the veggie dumplings. They tasted really stale and there was lack of any authentic flavors you would expect if you were to order dumplings from Chinatown. My advice is to this place is to revise your ingredients to follow traditional dumpling ingredients and flavors. Look up “dumpling” recipes and see what a difference it makes!”

“My first experience eating Dim Sum was quite an adventure, especially considering I don't speak Chinese. I had to learn on the spot how the ordering system worked, but luckily the staff was patient and helpful in guiding me through the process. I chose this particular place based on the excellent reviews I read online, and the popularity was evident when I had to wait for about an hour for a table as a party of two. It's essential to note that this place is usually extremely busy, and being willing to wait or getting waitlisted is necessary. Once seated, I delved into the world of Dim Sum, and I must say that I enjoyed some of the items. The fried rice was particularly delicious, and I appreciated the variety of Dim Sum options available. However, I was left disappointed by the beef balls. The texture was strange, and the flavor didn't resemble beef at all. It was an unfortunate letdown amidst an otherwise enjoyable meal. Overall, despite the initial language barrier and the wait time, my first Dim Sum experience was a positive one. I relished discovering new flavors and enjoyed most of the dishes I tried. The undeniable crowd speaks to the popularity of this place, and it's clear that many people hold this restaurant in high regard. If you're open to trying new foods and are willing to be a little patient, I would recommend giving Dim Sum a try at this establishment.”

“One of my favorite Chinese restaurants that is historic . Beside this I would probably give it 5 stars but needed to remove 2 when my order of steamed chicken with broccoli came with a long piece of black hair. This should never happen and shows they may have sanitary issues. I will Give them the benefit of the doubt and try it some other time again.”

“Ambiance (4/5): We came in at 1:30pm on a Saturday for dim sum and from the back entrance where there was plenty of parking. It was half cleared out already so it wasn’t very noisy. The inside is well lit and clean. Service (4/5): The staff seated us right away. There was plenty of staff members bustling around to clear plates. They provided a fresh set of plates when the chow fun came out! Food (3/5): $1 per person for tea. The dim sum dishes ranged from $3.95 to $10.95 where most of the ordered dishes were around the $5 range. Sadly, some were served cold/warm instead of piping hot. Beef Chow Fun (Dry) $17: It was served in an enormous bowl so there was plenty to share. The beef slices were super tender! The flat noodles were cut a bit too thin (personal preference). Glutinous Rice Dumplings (Hom Sui Gok): This dish was supposed to be served hot were actually cold. The inside of the pork/shrimp stuffing tasted really fishy. Fried Sesame Balls (Djeen Dui): This was really tasty! The inside wasn’t super sweet and the outer fried dough was crispy. Not sure warm but still crispy. Steamed Pork Ribs (Pai Gwut): This was also good. Tender bites and good flavor. Tofu skin roll: I liked this and the 3 pieces were thick and stuffed. Other dishes ordered but not tasted: Pork Siu Mai, Cheung fun”

“Pros: Ordered pick up and food was ready when we arrived. Serving size was enough for two. Cons: The fried rice was just rice and some bits of pork belly. Nothing else. Super plain. The food wasn’t really hot and the pieces of pork were colder than the rice. The chicken was so bland. Almost as if they just baked the wings unseasoned. Overall it was an underwhelming experience and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.”

“Got a couple of different dumplings. The standout was the truffle soup dumpling and the crab soup dumplings. The chicken and shrimp dumplings were ok but they have them swimming in the sauce that you select. Maybe next time I’ll ask if i can get no sauce with them.”
