If I imagine what a great all-American cafe diner is, this place fulfills all those expectations. So much Americana decor everywhere haha. And the waitress who served us was really sweet. Lots and lots of parking available.”

“Really good diner! Probably one of the best diner experiences specially for the price! Would definitely recommend this place. Coffee is pretty bad, but the food is delicious. Nothing fancy or special, but good comfort food. The frecnch toast is my favorite, really well made. The service is great, staff is really nice and attentive. Eggs, potatoes, omelets are all good.”

“The parking lot is very small. The Chinese Food is the best that I have ate in 40 years. There are a lot of people that place orders in person to pick up and come to place orders in person. You may ask questions about the different dishes and the waitress will answer. The portions are large and delicious to eat. The booth was comfortable to sit in. The atmosphere was average. I was to impressed by the delicious food I was eating!!”

“Gale's was delicious. The bread they brought out was so warm and tasty! The caprese salad was also great! I wish I ordered some to go. My family had pizza, which they said it was so good that they would go back. They are picky about pizza. My pasta was the only thing that was just ok. It needed a little more seasoning. Other than that, I recommend trying it out if you're in the Pasadena area. We were visiting from out of town. I would like to give our server Raul, 5 stars across the board!! He was the best!”

“Made reservation through OpenTable and was seated right away once we arrived. Atmosphere is very nice, but space is small. Our table was too close to other peoples tables for comfortable conversation. People who were dining beside us were very courteous and respectful. But I could see it would be problematic if people next to us were too loud and obnoxious. Service was excellent. Food and drink were off the charts. They were so delicious, we almost licked the plates. We were served complimentary glass of white wine, and small cupcake? for our anniversary. Cocktails we ordered was served with smoke of rosemary. It was fancy. Bill was $180 for 4 items and 2 cocktails. Reasonable for fine dining experience with delicious food. Will be back for sure!”

“Service was outstanding and presentation good, but food was overall a little bland. Everything I had needed salt desperately, the crème brûlée was gritty and the top not nearly caramelized enough. The bread in the bread basket was great and the mixed drink I tried was good. If you want to impress someone with how much you’re spending, get some good photos for the ‘gram, or just want to do drinks over a business meeting, go here. If you want flavor in your food maybe try somewhere else.”

“A piece of history. As of December 2023, breakfast meals are priced between $14-$18. Seating comfort was about average. Servers were prompt and pleasant, refilling our coffees when they looked low. I had a Denver “omelette” with home fries and an English muffin. Other than their delicious pan-fried English muffins, there’s nothing all that remarkable that would make me want to come back. It’s…one of the places.”
