“The LaGrangeville ShopRite has gone WAY downhill under the new management this year. The store is filthy and there are many expired, and spoiled items on the shelves. In terms of freshness, you have to check everything you buy here. A few moldy berries in the produce dept. Numerous expired foods throughout the store. I found numerous expired larabars with dates of Feb 15, 2023. There were multiple baking cups with dates of Feb 13, and April 16. There were multiple condiments with dates from May. Even worse, was the multiple slices of cheese that had dates of March 27! These cheeses even had mold on them! I couldn’t believe there was months expired cheese with visible mold on the shelves in the dairy section! Worst of all was the bags of clams in the seafood dept. All 4 bags stunk, the stench was unbelievable. They reeked like dead fish. These must have been sitting out for a long time, and were definitely completely rotten. Someone could get seriously sick from this. In terms of cleanliness, the store is filthy. The front entrance where the carts are kept; the floor is filthy and there is a large amount of trash scattered all over the floor, it obviously hasn’t been cleaned in a long time. The dairy shelves are dirty where the cheese is. There is visible black mold, dirt and grime on the shelves. The floors throughout the store, particularly in the freezer aisles are not as clean as they could be. There were multiple fruit flies all over the onions in the produce dept, and onion peels scattered on the floor. The shelves throughout the store weren’t as well stocked as they used to be. Some depts were a mess. Dairy was a mess with items strewn everywhere. What is going on in this store? Under previous managers, this store was MUCH better. Now it’s filthy, messy, and understocked with many rotten, expired, and spoiled foods on the shelves. There is absolutely no care in the store whatsoever. How can the store managers be ok with their store looking like this? I understand things get missed, but this is numerous serious issues. ShopRite, please change the management here ASAP!!! Get new management who will fix this store up, because this store currently is violating health regulations in several areas, and someone is going to get sick from the spoiled/expired foods on the shelves! This used to be a great store, but it is not anymore.”

Moreover, it's disheartening to have to pay for bags when you could easily get them for free elsewhere. It feels like a money-making scheme for them. Furthermore, they don't even offer boxes. What's up with that?!”

It seems like their processor racks aren’t being adequately cleaned and their chemicals aren’t being properly replenished. They’re reasonably priced and I really appreciated the person at the counter getting my roll done quickly, but I’m quite disappointed with the result.”

“Love shopping here, if you are looking for specific food items that are vegan, organic..this is the place. I was specifically looking for pastry dough without processed fat (lard). Nature's pantry had it in stock. I was able to cook my apple pie. I also spend time browsing up and down the isle just looking around. I've been shopping here since they were on 17K in Newburgh. The staff is helpful answering questions and helping you locate items. Parking is great! There are also health care as well as beauty products! Produce is always fresh. It's wonderful to have a place with healthy and better food options.”

The date on the package says 03/19/23, but the brownies taste like they have been packaged since 2000. Please take these off the shelves. I am going to throw the box away.”

They don’t carry items we use so I rarely visit this location unless I need something generic”

“I've been using Same Day Supplements for several years for vitamins and supplements. Their merchandise always arrives promptly and is excellent condition. I noticed that for one of my supplements, the color of the tablet changed. I started to use the new version and noticed that it was not as effective. I contacted Sam Day Supplements via email. I received a quick response that they would investigate. Within 24 hours I received a detailed response that 1. They checked their in-house inventory and they were all the same lot (changed). 2. They contacted the manufacture and determined that they had removed one of the ingredients. 3. They offered me a refund or replacement with a different product that contains the missing ingredient. This is stellar 5 Star customer service. I really wish all companies met this standard”

Even the Starbucks and snack bar were shut down? It almost seemed like they were going out of business? Also, they have 22 checkout positions and two were open with long lines on each! I know they want you to become and employee and use self checkout but even that was about a 10 minute wait.”

“I was looking for the best pricing for Tidy Cats cat litter on the web and found it and an adequate supply at Target of Kingston NY. Upon arrival I approached the nearest cashier and she gave clear concise direction to pet products. She was pleasant and appeared to be glad to be of service. On the way to pet products I saw store brand mouthwash similar to the old original Listerine and picked up two large bottles for less than half the price of Listerine! Upon arriving at pet products there was a large variety of Tidy Cat products in variously sized containers. I selected the 35 pound buckets. Do to my age and health conditions I asked a store associate for help. He responded quickly and placed six of the 35 pound buckets in my cart. I noticed that Blue Buffalo canned food was on sale and added a good selection my cats were sure to enjoy to my cart. I thanked the associate for his help and proceeded to the checkout. The young lady at the checkout was pleasant and talkative and her, another young lady in front of me and I had a pleasant brief conversation about my cats. My total was over $120.00 in pet supplies ! Due to the sale on food I was able to save some money and also got a $ 10.00 gift card for buying four of the cat litter. All in all my selection of Target was both a good value and provided a pleasant conversation in the process ! I'll definitely do more shopping at Target.”
