“We visited California State University at Fullerton on a self-guided tour along with some other schools in California. It was summertime, so the campus was not crowded. We were impressed with the beautiful buildings and the overall atmosphere of the campus. There was background music playing from speakers all around, adding to the ambiance. The buildings looked well taken care of, with nice seating areas throughout the campus. Few students were moving about on these fast scooters as the campus is vast. There was a lot of trees and plants all around - very green campus. What stood out to us were the unique architectural features on many buildings, which made it different from the other three schools we visited that day. It was a very pretty and fun visit for a family of a prospective student.”

“I am so excited and it brings me great joy to be able to finally write this review. I loved everything about this school! Let me talk about my favorite instructors at the school first: Max and Donato. Max was my favorite instructor to learn from in EVERYTHING. Any new skill or maneuver i had to learn, i went to him first. Max has the ability to explain anything whether it be with the parking maneuvers, inspections, or driving, with great ease and knowledge. I was never left confused or helpless with anything. Max is very patient, he stays with you until you grasp the material. He is very well experienced and knowledgeable and it shows. Max was the best instructor for me to learn from and ask questions about anything. Donato is another favorite instructor of mine. Donato is also VERY knowledgeable. He helped me learn a lot of what i will encounter in the outside world. His knowledge helped me better understand how my vehicle moves and how to “feel” my trailer in which direction it is going to move. I also learned more in depth regarding the inspection of my vehicle. I learned more about the function of my truck and trailer and i also felt so prepared for my inspections that i felt as though i could recite them in both English AND Spanish haha ! A few lessons and chats with him made me feel like truck driving would be my true profession. Donato is also the perfect person to ask questions regarding the DMV exams. A few days leading up to your test, I highly recommend going over everything with him. He prepares you very well. 👍🏼 Mario is the manager at the school and for good reason. Although he did not teach me the maneuvers, the inspections, or even to drive outside personally, this man has a special way of uplifting his students and giving them the confidence they need to keep pushing forward. He is very observant and knows where you would need to apply yourself more. Mario is very easy to talk to and is still very knowledgable and will always gladly answer any questions you have. The rest of the staff is also still very friendly and just as skilled. The other instructors such as Rudy, Arthur, and Andrew deserve a special shoutout because they are also very knowledgeable and you can see why they are instructors. If they see you struggling with something they offer themselves to help and guide you. Matthew and Fridda work in the office and are both very kind and informative. Fridda’s encouraging words and cheerful smile made it pleasant to go to school. Overall, I had an amazing experience at this school. I am glad i did my research and ultimately landed here. My advice to anyone debating on this school is to first know yourself and your learning style. I tend to be a fast learner but i ask A LOT of questions. Every question I asked were answered with wonderful explanations and immense knowledge. The school provides you the materials and resources you need to learn and achieve your license, the rest is up to you. If you know you struggle with memorization, make flash cards. If you struggle with the maneuvers, practice practice practice! The school and the instructors also provide you with YouTube videos to practice and review at home. They put their best efforts into helping you succeed but you have to be willing to put in just as much. At the end of the day the school can only do so much for you, it is up to the student to work hard. You are going to school to obtain a license that not everyone can obtain. Truck drivers are held to a higher standard on the road; as a student you should hold yourself to that standard to study and practice. This was the perfect school for me and i hope it is for you too. 🚛🙌🏼”

This music school truly gave me the varied skillsets I’ve always been interested in learning like Music Business, The Artist Mindset, Songwriting, Music Theory, Studio Techniques, Ear Training, and Synthesis. Most importantly, the mentoring sessions were top notch! An added bonus was the incredibly supportive community experience. If you’re thinking about the total and complete school for music, the answer is Icon!”

Torrance, CA 90506, United States

“They never have supplies that the students actually need. Their art supplies are always low. When asked, they said "well they get sold out!" You would think there would be some coordination between the class schedules and the bookstore. We should not have to go to Micheals, Blick or Amazon to get supplies. Also, if classes begin at 8am, should they not be open a little before just in case they "do" have supplies that students need? Maybe I am misunderstanding what a college bookstore is supposed to do?”

California State University, San Bernardino

Biola University

13800 Biola Ave, La Mirada, CA 90639, United States

“It is ok to be fake Christians. No one care. This is called culture Christian. No one mean it. Sigh. Professor try to give godly ‘customer service’, but we don’t have to live it out, we just enjoy the 5 star service. ‘Culture Christian’, with that being said, we have similar culture background. For example, I watched the TV show or music before. This should be considered as ‘cultural’. Same goes to Christian culture. Tribalism. It is culture, people don’t have to live out the principles or don’t take it seriously. People come to Biola for good weather, Hollywood, Disneyland and something else. Pretty dry campus. Sigh, life is so short, and it is time to move on …. Sad”

Diablo Valley College

Open until 05:00 PM

321 Golf Club Rd, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523, United States

“Some instructors are really good and some are really bad and do not qualify to be doing what they are doing. Some of the classes are taught by woke instructors who want you to comply with woke ideology. They force faculty and staff to mention and display their pronouns. Some of the instructors are truly unprofessional and should be fired. If you must attend this place, stay proactive, only take the classes that you need to take to transfer out, and do that as fast as you can. DO NOT take any of their online classes. It is often the case that the classes that you need will be instantly full and the only thing left will be classes that you do not need, especially low quality, horrible online classes. The classes that are needed fill up fast with international students and concurrent high school students. Nothing will be easy here and it will hurt you to draw out your time here. I do not recommend this community college if you can attend somewhere else. There are a few good instructors here and there.”

Las Positas College

3000 Campus Hill Dr, Livermore, CA 94551, United States

“A bit of a challenge to get to w/o a car. They have a shuttle. But the campus is clean and very safe. Teachers seem considerate and well qualified, a good combination. Can be super hot outside between May and Sept. Dress accordingly.”

Universal Technical Institute

( 8 reviews )
Open until 05:00 PM

4175 E Conant St, Long Beach, CA 90808, United States

“Not worth being in debt $30,000 or more for a school that doesn’t replace broken gear or tools. You’d be better off learning and getting experience by working in the field. This school was a waste of time for a lot of us because we were expecting to learn how to diagnose and repair a vehicle, but how can that be done when there’s missing components or the equipment provided wasn’t even working. Don’t waste your time or money on this school.”
