“Papagayo Beach Resort is a nice play to stay. Location is great and do recommend to include breakfast at the beach (nice). Very big balconies. Daily free clean beach towels & cleaning of the villas. When you want a late checkout, try to fix it with the booking as locally it will be promised but at the end you can be left empty handed (our experience). Nevertheless very nice and professional staff. It is a vibrant area with popular beaches so you can expect some noice from the beach restaurants on Fri / Sat. Does end on time. Villas only have AC in the bedrooms, other areas don’t have it but you won’t miss it. Very clean. All in all, great stay. Nice people.”

“Not great. Rooms are good but make sure you keep them clean yourself, as there is no daily housekeeping. We were told they clean once every 8 days. Empty your own trash. Tried to get more toilet paper, literally had to ask 3 times over more than 3 hours. Got towels and linens exchanged, that took three trips to the room so we had correct sets and we had to change and make the beds. Food at Cabana restaurant is average at best. Some servers at restaurant were great, super friendly and nice while some others were quiet, cold and seemed bothered by our presence. On top of all the negative things, they are constantly trying to sell you on HGV “points “ system (which is like the old time share deal) so you waste some of your vacation listening to a sales pitch. Why would we invest more into a time share when they can’t get things right as is? If they’ve going to try to sell me on spending more time there, wouldn’t they want to really WOW me with my current experience? Overall nothing there was over the top horrible, however nothing really impressed me much either.”

“Friendly service, spatious restaurant, with indoor and outdoor seating, easy onsite parking. The dessert was good and well presented. The first course, soup, was tasty. The main dish lacked a bit of creativity and presentation skills. We have enjoyed the same main dish in another province with so much more eye for detail.”
