“Very good wedding venue, fantastic sunset viewpoint out to sea, the pool has the same view. There is a wonderful garden with plants from around the world, the wine cellar has a glass roof and you can walk over it and look down in, which I liked. Great food and they have lots of great touches, for example we had nibbles served early on, smoothies later in the evening and pizza served after midnight as a snack. Friendly staff, awesome place.”

“I got married here in June 2023. Once my husband and I visited Bastide du Roy (almost 2 years before our wedding) we knew nothing else in the area could compare. It was perfect to have everyone get ready at the Bastide as well as have the ability to stay there that night as well. The flow of the venue is perfect for an outdoor wedding— The guests were greeted with champagne in the front gardens then moved to the ceremony space amongst the hedges which feels really intimate and magical! We dod cocktail hour by the pool and then we had our dinner and dancing in the front of the house with string lights. Our guests were truly blown away by how beautiful everything was and my husband and I still can't get over how perfect it was either. The staff is also amazing, they worked with us through potential rain and we used Apolline as our main planner/coordinator—All our vendors said that she is the best and runs things better than full service planners they've worked with in the past. Apolline was so accommodating—Checking in with us beforehand to build our timeline, provide advice, and manage all our vendors. She also allowed us to ship things to the venue which was extremely helpful. She really helped our vision come to life and we appreciate her and everyone at this beautiful venue so much!”

His kindness and professionalism were essential in the preparation of this magical weekend. In addition, Annick, our hostess, took great care to ensure that each moment went perfectly. Our guests were amazed: stars in their eyes at every moment. They have never ceased to praise the quality of the rooms and the food, both of which are beyond reproach. “The place is dirty and not worth the money. We stay here in august for a week and had moisture in the bathroom and in one of the bedrooms. The technicians came and had a look at it, but just mentioned that this is a known problem and requires renovation, but beside spraying some disinfection on the moisture there is nothing they can do. There was no word of apologies or compensation offered by the management team for the issue. “They do not care”, which could essentially be also the title for this review. This not only valid for the conditions of the rooms but also for the entire place with is filthy. The walkways between the different locations (accommodation, beach, pool, reception, etc.) are sandy and dusty roads shared with the vehicles. Not only do you carry all that dust into your rooms, but they also do not care about dog dirt and women’s sanitary pads laying around. Obviously with all that dirt in your rooms that cleaning ladies have to do a hell of a job, rather impossible job, which of course led to our room not being ready at 4pm upon arrival. Also be aware that if you have a “garden view” you are looking into a dry and deserted piece of forest hill. Not to mention the overpriced restaurant (13€ for a 0.5l beer). The entire place is not maintained properly. During out 7 days stay there was always at least one thing not working: Internet (2 day), electricity (1 day), AC (1 day), water (1 day). Only minor plus point is the proximity to the beach, but also do not expect too much. Not sure if it is because of the many boats anchoring in close distance, but the water it not very clear, there is not fish to spot whatsoever. Stay far away, there is much better places.”
