“We stopped off here on the way from Belfast to Derry after being recommended to go here by friends and by god were we glad we did! Our warm welcome from our very attentive waitress to having our drinks on our table within minutes and allowing the perfect amount of time for us to be ready to order. The kids menu for our 4 and 6 year old was great, they loved being able to choose a starter, main and dessert and having the fruit skewer as a choice is super healthy and great to see (i have added menu to pics). Our food was absolutely beautiful and nothing was left on our plates, perfect portions, perfectly cooked and presented and top class and friendly service from the staff. This will definitely be our go to place for trips to Belfast in future (just 2 mile from roundabout at Magherafelt (Derry to Belfast route) really couldn't recommend here any higher. Full marks!”

“I felt like we left London and flew to Italy. The food was absolutely divine, fresh and full of flavour. Everything was cooked to perfection. The red wine Chianti san Lorenzo was fruity and just the right balance, didn’t find it dry at all. The staff were so lovely, attentive and friendly. It’s a family owned restaurant, the owner even took the time to come over, speak with us and we had a good laugh. It’s a great place for an intimate setting with a small group of family and friends. I’m so glad I stumbled across the reviews online and booked this place before our theatre booking. It’s a must visit and I promise you this, once you’ve been here you will definitely be back again, like us.”

“Great British Pub Awards has awarded the The Plough, family pub of the year 2023. It has a lovely cosy atmosphere, traditional, with open fire places. The staff are very friendly, cheerful, and helpful. Enjoyed the food and did not feel rushed. The pub has expansive gardens, with a play area for the kids. Could not take advantage of this as autumn and dark. Still, this did not stop my some and friends playing rugby in the floodlights.”

“We were recommended to visit here by our guesthouse in Garron View and what a great suggestion. We managed to get a table for tonight (a busy Saturday) and were given a warm welcome. All the staff were really friendly and doing a great job as it was fully booked. We had a steak from the specials which was cooked perfectly with "tabacco onions". These delightful crispy treats are made from shaved onions which are then lightly battered and fried. We could have eaten a plate of these on their own! My main of seafood linguini was the most generous version I've ever eaten. There were three types of fish (haddock, salmon and cod?) plus many juicy prawns. They also added green beans and broccoli which was an unusual but very nice touch 🥦 We finished with two desserts: chocolate cake and sticky toffee pudding which were both served warm with a scoop of ice cream. Ordered a vegetarian penne ala Norma pasta that was served with loads of salad and cheese. And I really loved the taste.
