“Fun place! We enjoyed Charles Geil and his Ghost Band while eating smoked chicken and smoked chicken wings! Very tasty! The beer was also good! In the summer, there are plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit! There were some unique and tasty condiments and side dishes you can purchase. The prices were very reasonable—a big bonus these days!”

“I know this is a generally well-liked shop and I feel badly about leaving a poor review, but this is our experience… We have been coming to the Farmer’s Rail for well over a year and we love that it’s a local place that offers high quality foods! Plus, the cookies with buttercream frosting? Delicious! We had no issues with our purchases the first few times, but lately, it seems we consistently end up with upset stomachs after eating Farmer’s Rail salmon. I would say out of the last 5 times we’ve eaten it, we’ve regretted it 4. We’re very disappointed considering the cost of products sold here and the shop’s stellar reputation.”

“They carry specialty cheeses. You can enjoy a cheese plate inside. The only downside to buying a bottle to drink with your wine plate was the $15 corking fee. The bottle of wine sells for $20. So we ordered glasses of wine instead. I reccommend selecting your own cheeses to try.”

“I used to like this store, close and easy to get what I need, but this last trip made me never wanna go back, went in for sweet feed for our horses, I needed 4 bags and there was none on the main floor, I asked if there was more in the back and was told yes let’s go get it, went in the back with them and found the feed up on the racks, was told sorry we can’t get any down for you, so I put my other products back and left, now I have to drive 30 minutes more out of the way to get the feed, this was also the second trip here since the first time today there was a sign that said opens at noon, I come here every week to get our sweet feed, the fact that nobody could take 10 minutes to get a pallet of the sweet feed down is ridiculous, so anyone else that goes for the same product today will be in the same situation as I am.”

“This is a large Kroger with a gas station in the front. Several specialty departments --bakery, deli, cheeses and meats, etc. Customer service has been very good on three trips there. Several check out lanes are open by late morning. A state liquor store and a Starbucks is located inside the store.”
