“I want to say that the Albert heijn in Maldegem is beyond stellar, and is a phenomenal place to shop at. They provide consistent products, add new products seasonally and the quality of their name brand products are exceptional. I would have given this location a five stars, but today I realize that they are no longer open Sunday afternoons. This is very important for this fast paced economy that we live in. Today was a nice summer day at 23°C, the smell of BBQ was in the air and you can hear families enjoying some good fun together. But sadly when I arrive today at 14:00, hoping to pick up some beer and meat to do the same with my family. I was shocked in disbelief that they were closed and changed their opening hours. I have to say it’s a fine place to shop and I do recommend it to everyone, but to be closed on a Sunday afternoon like everything else in this ghost town is just ridiculous. Now I either have to drive to the AH in Oostcamp, or to the carrefour run Brugge. A good business plan is to be open when everything else is closed, this way community will have a sense of comfort that someone is still there when every other business is only thinking of themselves. Besides not being able to BBQ, let’s think about others. Like the mothers that just ran out of baby formula, or teens who need hygienic products at the last minute before school on Monday, or those that forgot some ingredients for that evening. How about those who are extremely tired from working random shift hours all week, barely having time to make it to the grocery store. Now comprehend they just got off of work at 22:00pm, they now have to wake up early Saturday on their only day off just to do groceries, because they may have to go into work 3:00am Monday morning. Because every other business in town also decided to take Sundays off. Sad really.”

“Came on Sunday (08 May) with my family and didn't get a table since we didn't reserve. The family after me managed to get a table even without reservation. Waitress was kind to the family who stood in line after me and gave them a table even though they didn't have reservation. When I asked, the lady staff says she is busy serving other customers and multiple times told me there are no tables like she wanted to get rid of me and her stare was like "how dare I came to this restaurant". I asked an another friendly lady staff and she gave me the table to seat and told me there is no reservation on this table. I was about to sit with family and get a chair , the 1st lady staff comes running and puts the table 'reserved' and says there is no table. What confuses me , why was she picking me and family when she managed to give an another family the table. First they say table is free and then later says table is not free. Never going to come to this restaurant ever.”

Other clients have to wait really long, but she couldn’t care less. Fabrics are ok but nothing special (those that I could find online for much cheaper mostly). Would recommend Max Bloch nearby. We went there the same trip and loved it. Same fabrics are cheaper there. There are also a lot more unique and beautiful fabrics hard to find elsewhere and nice to see/touch in person. The personnel were more professional and efficient.”

“Not a bad place to buy supplies for your DIY projects. They carry the good brands for construction, home repair, and even protective clothing and foot gear. It is not as big as it used to be (the other half is now taken over by Action) so you can definitely navigate the aisles easily. I find that prices are a bit on the high side. I go there mainly for light bulbs that cannot be sourced from my neighborhood supermarket, garden shoes, grout pens, and plants. If on sale, their perennials are worth buying. Their loyalty program is now called Well-played although I’m not sure exactly what the benefits of being a member are. So far, I have not seen any reduction or vouchers. Store clerks are not the most gracious, but they can tell you where to find stuff. I patronize the place because it’s easy to get in and out and its convenient location.”
