I asked Colin for a low acid wine selection. He was painstaking in finding me wines I would enjoy without damage. AND it worked! For only £3 you get a sandwich or salad, a drink and Crisps, popcorn or nuts. The sandwiches are really high quality. I love the double irish cheddar with relish and the BLT. The salted popcorn is a big bag so perfect for low cal work snack. December update: The Christmas poinsettias in store are big and beautiful. I got an extra large turkey (8.2kg) for just £27. “The way that people described the Primark resulted in a very disappointing visit. This Primark is small, does not have many options and is quite limited. The staff were friendly and all but the hype people create around Primark here is overboard. The Belfast store is much bigger and has a wider variety of items. I don't want to take away from the team but one thing I did not like was the way management were discussing the running of the store out in the middle of the floor out loud. The customers do not have to see and hear about the staffing arrangements, it was as if they were trying to look busy. When we headed to the cashier, the returns area had a lot of items and the manager was quite annoyed that staff didn't make sure that it was cleared away and angrily requested a staff member to attend. Again, customers don't have to hear about these things and there is no reason to blurt it out so loud .... Basic management is to make sure the store runs, without the customers having to hear how it is done.”

“Great experience with my driver fitting. Firstly scheduled the initial fitting and unfortunately weather wasn’t great, very thick fog and could not see ball flight, the guys offered to reschedule and advised when new drivers were being released so they could provide more options. Steve carried out the fitting, he offered information on available clubs and shafts in the market place and an opportunity to demonstrate those. Steve went through a number of options for heads and shafts while providing technical data on suitability eventually landing on the most compatible club for my swing and level of game. All the while taking on board what I was hoping to achieve from a new club for my game and aesthetically. It was really helpful to go through different manufacturer options and see for myself where some clubs suit and others don’t. Importantly having this demonstrated, Steve was great with the information he provided making my choice so much easier. There was zero sales pitch or any agenda to get a sale but rather an honest review of my current club versus newer models. Excellent customer service for those seeking to make an informed choice.”

She is a big fan of their pavlova and is badgering me to take her back so that she can get more jumpers from the clothing range that they stock. Fast and friendly service too with great knowledge about how to keep the indoor plants that we bought alive! Top tip: my mum joined the loyalty club to stock up on wee gifts that were on offer that day - gardening gloves for £1 for members! Membership was free so they have us both as members now.”

“Great place to shop. Good store lay out ,plenty of room between product aisles. Very helpful and efficient staff who always walk you to the location of items you have requested. Excellent range of products an many categories from food and drink to clothing and household items. Their products are great quality even the Value range. Plenty of options re payment with the self service option allowing for quick passage through the store if only a few items are needed. The only drawback is the lack of changing room facilitues. I feel it s best to be able to try clothing before you purchase. I would have thought the Covid related restrictions would have been lifted by now. However overall a visit to Tesco Extra is very rewarding. There are plenty of parking spaces outside and access to the store caters for all levels of mobility.”

“Was in Store yesterday and went to the self check out. I set my few things on wrong side of the check out and was told quite abruptly to move it to other side. Following the instruction I still had some issue… I’m not a fan of self checks outs, but felt like the staff standing around where to help. I scanned everything and put them in the cart and I realized the security tags needed to be removed. I then asked this other woman if she could assist and the reaction on her face and behaviors was quite rude. The bad attitude towards me was uncalled for. She asked for the receipt which I gave her and the two clothing items where scanned first, but she stood there going through the entire receipt and at same time looking at me then looking at the shopping cart! I asked her why she was looking at the entire receipt and she said it was required. I don’t have an issue with that but she could have explained that and kept her lack of customer service to herself. If you need to know her name you can find out as she was on duty with the other person at approx 12:30 or thereabouts. I have never been so upset in a grocery store before… rude, disrespectful and ignorant. TESCO needs to get some of the staff trained properly with Customers Service! Sincerely”

“I was in the Belfast store this afternoon with my 2 year old to buy a pair of Vans. Apologies if I misheard him but I believe the man who served us was called Corey (he introduced himself to my daughter before measuring her feet which I thought was a nice touch) He went on to explain where and how to stand and for a young guy was incredibley professional and thorough. He was able to advise the different styles and fits and waited nearby while we made our selection. He seemed to be the only server when the shop was pretty busy but his service even at the till point was fantastic. Rarely leave reviews but I left thoroughly impressed and would like to see him recognised 👍🏻”

“Lot's of lazy staff standing about chatting or on their phones, much like any other Tesco tbh. One in particular during the day, tall guy with glasses. He was in boose and I was getting beers for some friends but none on the shelf. I seen some on a cage and he promised to get them for me soon so I said I would do my other shopping first . I even left it out to the car and went back into the shop probably 20 minutes after he said that . On the way to boose aisle I seen him walking in the opposite direction on his phone grinning so I assumed he'd split the cage but when I got there it was untouched. I ended up doing it myself to get the products I wanted. An example of being fobbed off by a lazy member of Tesco staff. This was a while ago and every time I see him in the shop he's chatting to other colleagues or looking at his phone. As an ex Tesco employee I can confirm Tesco is rife with this type of worker going right to store manager level!”
