I asked a few questions and he took the time to answer and showed great patience even though he's probably heard the same Q's hundreds of times before. Long story short.....Anthony invited me back to test ride any bike. Went back on Saturday. Although there were a few Customers I was greeted promptly. I asked to see a bike that was on the Website but it was still boxed. No Problem. Alex opened the box and started video'ng the build. After a few tweaks to make the bike fit me and quick test ride.....I went home with a BMX bike! Awesome store and great Customer Service! They've earned my repeat business.”

Now I don’t even bother stopping at the Sutton store. Their inventory is limited to say the least and their staff have gone down hill. They all seem miserable. “Mixed feelings regarding Plato’s Closet in Newmarket. I often find good items to purchase, but when I bring in items to sell, they are often rejected for invalid reasons. I question how much they actually buy from walk-in sellers. Attempted to sell three pairs of shoes and was told no because of wear and stains. Have they looked at what was on the shelf?!”

“I purchased a smartwatch a few days ago and after opening the box and fiddling with it, I realized it was too complicated and wanted to return it. I return to the store and presented them item. I was shocked to be told that all sales of smart watches are final sale and not eligible for a refund. I was asked where it is mentioned on the receipt and on the bottom the point out “open box” items are not eligible for refunds. When the words open box are in quotations, it would lead one to believe that items sold as open box items and this priced slightly less would be ineligible for a refund. At no point during my purchase was I told all sales on smart watches were final. No signs in store mention the final sale on smart watches. The same item can be returned at other retailers including online retailers. Why would someone shop here if they knew certain items were final sale. Why wouldn’t staff tell customers that the item they are about to purchase is a final sale (something done at other places and stamped on your receipt) I feel like I have been scammed. This is an unscrupulous way of doing business and I’m disappointed I wasn’t give the “customer is always right” treatment or the benefit of the doubt considering the vague wording on the return policy. I hope I get a meaningful response to this review and I hope that Sportchek does the right thing and offers me a refund. Please do what’s right.”
