“0 STARS I specifically asked and ordered Fried Catfish fillets. The Hispanic lady at the front ensured me that they had catfish. When I got my order I was disappointed to find out they don’t have actual CATFISH FILLETS it was indeed some other type of fish. I took it back in there and told the lady it’s not catfish and maybe I got the wrong order😕. She said “no, that’s catfish” to my face as if I don’t know what catfish looks, smell & taste like. It’s swai 100% I drove a hour away for Swai I could have just went down the street to JJ’s fish and chicken for that!!”

“Cost for 1 dish was around 18 CAD While the overall ambiance of the place is pleasant, I personally wouldn't recommend the noodles and fried rice based on my two visits. I visited Desi Hangout twice, hoping for a delightful experience with their noodles and fried rice. Unfortunately, both times, the flavors fell short of my expectations. During my vacation in April 2023, I tried the noodles through takeout, but they didn't impress. Hoping for a better outcome, I returned on December 13, 2023, this time opting for fried rice and manchurian. Unfortunately, my experience repeated, and I found both dishes lacking in taste.”

“I went to first time. And I ordered "Ninja bomb bowl". It's salmon and shrimp tempura bowl. And you can choose sauces. They said usually people add few sauces. So, I pick Ninja sauce (creamy sesame) and Yuzu vinegar sauce. Yuzu is Asian citrus. Kind like lemon and orange mix together. But more close to lemon taste. And this sauces they mix together with rice. I never eat like this style. Because always sushi rice is using rice vinegar and some seasoning. But it was great. This time I tasted only creamy sesame and little bit vinegar. So, I didn't taste of any Yuzu. Next time I will try Yuzu vinegar only. I think creamy sesame was strong that's why I can't taste Yuzu. Shrimp tempura was little bit soggy for me. Because I love crispy. But I enjoyed a lot. Looks was great too. They have day's special. It's couple dollars cheaper than regular price. So, if you find it your favorite bowl then just go to day's special time.”

“The coolest crossover of pizza and Indian food that I never imagined I would enjoy! Each pizza came out to about $20, and had flavors such as butter chicken, chicken tikka, paneer tikka, and lamb. As someone who doesn’t know much about Indian food, the flavors and visual appearance of all 4 toppings were quite similar, mostly differentiated by the protein. The pizza also had a lot of cilantro, which I really enjoyed, though I’m sure they let you modify your choices. You should try it at least once before you knock it!”

“Where to start? As soon as you walk in you are greeted with warmth and smiles like you are that family member that someone genuinely misses. The owner Geoff walked me through the flavor profiles of all of the many wing sauces. His recommendations were spot on (they let me try 6 different sauces!). Fire in the Hole is exactly what it sounds like but it does have beautiful flavor- give it a shot! The duck wings were easily my favorite with the Smoke on the Mountain sauce ( I did take a bite before the photo). Super unique and delicious. I loved hearing the pork rinds still crackling when our server sat them down in the table. The fried pickles were really good. My wife loved the brisket sandwich. This will be our go-to place when we come back to Deep Creek Lake.”

“We ordered the curried goat, stewed pork and fried chicken. We were surprised at the packaging, but we went with our best hopes. The packaging seems small, but it held A LOT of food inside. My fried chicken was delicious. Soft, crunchy, flavorful. My bro's stewed pork was fatty however, but savoringly delicious. Pops' curried mutton was tender and spicey. The prices did catch us off-guard... $1,050 for fried chicken? That's, shocking. Nevertheless, we'd buy here again for other dishes.”

Went to open the pasta and there was a huge nasty long piece of black hair cooked right into the pasta you can see clear as day from the top of the pasta. Immediately went back to store to show them and get my money back. The workers kept repeating over and over it’s fine you can get your money back, it’s fine, it’s fine. As if it was not a big deal, no it’s not “fine” it’s absolutely disgusting!! I saw the girl making the food, had long black hair not in a hair net or anything no wonder why her hair is falling in people’s food 🤮 Will absolutely NEVER get food from here again!
