Hess-hathaway Park
4.7
( 8 reviews )

825 S Williams Lake Rd, Waterford Twp, MI 48327, United States

“Great park to take the kids to. The play scape, swings and sand lot are all gated in so you don't have to worry about your kids running off in opposite directions and going too far. There is a smaller pavilion in the play area and a large pavilion on the opposite side of the parking lot that sits on a small hill. There is a small farm area with a nice assortment of animals. The children are all very excited to see them. Easy access to everything, wheelchair friendly. The bathrooms are nice. There is another, out of the way pavilion that you can reserve for gatherings and request tractor pulled hay rides.”

Lake Hudson Recreation Area

5505 Morey Hwy, Clayton, MI 49235, United States

“Camping: If there is a trailer Dump station, I didn't find it, that is the only thing keeping this from a 5 star review. No cell service. Some of the electrical boxes are 50+/- feet from where you would park your camper or set up the tent. I was able to reserve a spot on Saturday night, a couple days out. But the campground was full when we arrived. There is solid greenery between most sites, but many Inner loop sites back to each other, ones on 26-50 inner loop are best for groups. The sites are good sized. No bad spots, just spots for different needs. The whole lake is "no wake", people seemed to be respecting the rule.”

Alcona Park

2550 Au Sable River Rd, Glennie, MI 48737, United States

“Beautiful views from the cabins on the East side. They are pretty private and it's nice because we don't drink or party and sometimes it's hard to separate from others who are out partying all night. Cabins do not have electricity or water but it was fine for what we needed. It says on the website that the one we rented sleeps six but there were just two beds. One was a bunk bed and another a full sized single. Rentals are a little pricey for what's included. It was $140 for two nights and you cannot put any additional tents or anything on the property without paying extra. Showers take tokens, which you have to buy from the office. Tokens are $0.25 each and get you about 5-7 minutes per token. That's not expensive but for the overall price, showers should be included. There are outhouses located throughout the park and most of them are fairly clean but do not usually have toilet paper. Overall we had a good experience but there are some things that could be improved.”

Aune Osborn Campground

Closed until 03:00 PM

1225 Riverside Dr, Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783, United States

“Pleasant with first rate views of ships passing through the locks. They pass amazingly close by and make their turn down the Staint Mary's River. Spectacular to watch. The campground is often full so book ahead. It has decent amenities while close to downtown and the locks. We have been here several times and always been happy to stay here.”

Bay Harbor Marina

“Awesome Marina, has in ground pool, bathrooms and showers . Very clean and great views of Marina and of open water.”

Ferguson Park
4.3
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 07:00 AM

4540 Okemos Rd, Okemos, MI 48864, United States

“On the banks of the Red Cedar River, it is a beautiful place to spend a short time with family and friends. The place is relatively small and cannot accommodate a large number of people. It is worth noting that mosquitoes are common in the area. Free parking is available, as well as parking spaces for people with disabilities.”
