“This place is so much fun!! I climbed for about a year at Ohio States climbing gym and it was so much fun I wanted to keep climbing over the summer. This gym was super convenient and has so many different routes!! They also offer some clinics like less climbing or belaying, and have fun events almost every week. It’s a little pricey but worth it in my opinion especially with a small student discount. I cant wait to return next summer for all of the new routes. The staff are also always super friendly!”

“So many fun climbing walls and obstacles. Great for older kids and parents too! Elementary school and middle school age kids will love this. There is an auto belay system attached to each climbing station. You are on your own to clip in and out. Some of the clips are a little tricky. It's best to stay with your kids to help with the clips. Kids climb for $20 for 1 hour and parents that want to climb pay $10. The staff fits you into a harness that you wear for the duration of your climb. It's an extra $3 per person if you want to do the slide. Included: about 30 climbing stations, an overhead obstacle course, a tunnel cave and a soft climbing play area. Wear gym shoes and athletic clothes. No jewelry, Make a reservation in advance!”

“10/10 recommend these trails and the stairs! Beautiful any time of year and so many options for short and long walks/runs/bike rides. Depending on your child(ren) and stroller, it's definitely an option to use it though the ride is bumpy and sometimes muddy. Also very hilly, so be sure to bring a stroller strap for safety. I've been here for personal fitness, too. The stairs are a good strength and cardio option for someone who likes being active outdoors. They are partially shaded, depending on the time of year and day, but be sure to bring plenty of water! If you're looking for an option for your baby, I've brought mine here in a carrier and backpack and we've wandered the trails for hours (and took a turn or two on the stairs). It takes some planning, but again, be sure to bring plenty of water as the hills can bring on a good sweat. Many trails also allow leashed dogs, too!”

One of the owners was at the entrance and I was extremely impressed to see how she was in her own building and managing the facility so well. It was a true blessing to have access to a beginners corner in the rear of the building and the music was absolutely on point. Everyone was amazing and I wish we lived closer but it was a place me and my family had to stop by and show love to. We are from New Jersey and have grew up hearing great things about this spot. “The FP Ice Arena is a friendly place. A place for a high level of ice sports and activities, which has been in service for good number of years. Home to a hockey store, party rooms, ice arena, small space rink, and is able to provide rental services for part areas, broom ball, general ice skating and competitive hockey leagues. Very recommended. the staff is super friendly. The facility has great accessibility. The parking lot can host a good number of cars. There is plenty of street parking as well. “Maybe I am missing something with all the other reviews but this rink has been going downhill for many years. They don't clean it at all so the locker rooms and facilities are just flat out gross. The ice is okay at best but with many games it does not freeze fast so there is puddles all over the place. Also the one rink seems like your playing in the dark. I am sure they are always busy with 3 rinks but time to put some money back into this place. The positive is they do have a bar so helps you forget the feeling and smell of the place.”

“Very well equipped gym in well cleaned and maintained facilities. The staff are all super friendly, and I generally get good vibes from all the routine frequenters. The locker room is great, with plenty of lockers and showers, steam room, sauna, and hot tub. There is a great group fitness schedule, with tons of options throughout the day everyday. I haven’t done personal training here, but the trainers all seem personable and courteous. My biggest complaint is how busy it is here - I’ve tried going before work (~7a-8a) and after work (~6p) - both times are completely slammed to the point that you’ll need to be flexible with your workout or wait around for equipment to open up. Typically doable, but just a little annoying on some days. Overall - very good experience.”

“Excellent City/Park District Course. It is a little short, but a good mix starting with a par 5 1st hole then a mix of par 3s and 4s. It keeps it interesting by putting a dramatic dog leg on on hole 3, and gentler ones on the other par 4s. 2nd hole provides a good simple warm up par 3, but from there they start becoming more interesting with guarding bunkers, tiered or undulating greens and other quirks. It is nicely balanced to let you practice full range of golf skills without being to difficult for a beginner or demanding/relying on a strong long game. Extra plus - No water so you are more likely to end the game with the same number of balls you started ;) Focus has been on maintaining the greens and fairways over decorative landscaping, so it is not as photogenic as some other courses, but is very pleasant to stroll through and enjoy in the spring, summer and fall of Chicago. My only "constructive criticism" is the bathrooms - Perhaps they are true public park bathrooms rather than associated with the course, but they were... less than spotless lets just say. Go before you go ;)”

“Although it's relatively flat there is a lot of variety throughout the holes. Besides the island green, I'd say this is some of the best water/fairway design I've played. Not punishing, but fun. Great doglegs and there were several blind tees from the gold tips so my Golf Pad GPS map got a lot of use. And its long. Most places I don't get much use of the 4 through 7 irons, but here I didn't even use the 8 or 9 iron the whole round. They use all 7000 + yards in a thoughtful way. Conditions aren't perfect but plenty good. The layout I just really loved. Nice facilities too. Range is smallish but uniquely split down the middle with mats on one side and for a few dollars more you can play your bucket off the grass side. Overall great fun, and an especially rare find for longer hitters.”
