“I joined South Oakland YMCA in October 2023 for swim classes. The adult instructor Rook has a great personality and is so patient. I had previous swim experience but fear had kept me from getting into most pools or bodies of water comfortably. We started with some basics but by week 3 our group was already in the deep end, treading water. There seems to be plenty of activity and classes available at this location. I haven’t used any other parts of the facility but I did walk around when I enrolled and the locker room/showers are always clean. The women's locker room is in the basement where there is a small sauna, lockers, dressing areas, bathrooms and several showers. The front desk staff has been friendly but not always knowledgeable (I called to ask about billing cycle/account set up information and was misinformed). In addition to the staff the atmosphere feels very welcoming with many people seeming to know each other through coming there often. Parking on the side of the building isn’t the greatest, but there is an overflow lot behind. Based on my experiences the last three months, I am hoping to sign up my family for summer programs, and to start attending regularly.”

“We've had 2 birthdays now at Novi, and we'd do it every year if we could get away with iThe staff is incredible, were wonderful with the kids and us. Also the rental skates are really good quality(!!!). That alone makes such a huge difference in how much our guests enjoyed themselves. All the parents have a blast. Only complaint is now all their kids want to start skating, and skating leads to hockey, and hockey leads to hockey bags, and hockey bags lead to hockey bag smell. Figure if you live in Michigan that's bound to happen anyways. At least here we have an awesome local rink.”

PACE of PLAY 👎: Unfortunately, the pace of play has received criticism, especially during the late fall season, with delays and waiting times affecting the overall golfing experience. Despite the starter’s efforts to manage tee times, close booking intervals have often disrupted the pace of play. In essence, Devil’s Ridge Golf Club in Oxford, Michigan, delivers an impressive golfing experience amidst the stunning fall landscape. While the course maintenance and amenities are commendable, the pace of play issues, especially during late fall, need attention. Nonetheless, the value for money and the friendly staff, including the diligent starter, contribute to an enjoyable golfing outing, making it a notable destination for golf enthusiasts looking for a memorable round.”

“This facility is brand new and gorgeous. They have great summer camps for kids. The summer camps get sold out very quickly. Our children have taken multiple camps in the last two years, and they love them. Many kids from neighboring cities also come for camps. They have awesome rec classes like Pickle Ball, Tennis, soccer, etc. The theatre is gorgeous. We attended multiple shows there. Overall, we are really lucky to have a community center like Hawk.”

“FIELDSTONE Golf Club👍👍👍 👍 👎🏿 COURSE 👍 - course maintained good. fairway good so as green. Greens relatively small and many Narrow fairways and Lot of sand bunkers make game tough. AMENITIES 👍- golf range area there. Proshop has food and drinks and beer cart girl in the course as well. Good restaurant for food STAFF and MANAGEMENT 👍 starter and other staff members doing great job. Good customer service VALUE for THE MONEY 👍- it's bit expensive and for 18 holes it's $55+ on weekday but well maintained course pay off. PACE of the PLAY 👎🏿 Pace of the play need to improve and for the the price paying staff and tee times need to improve .”

“Went to thr range. The team members were Welcoming. Prompt. Range master was knowledgeable. Clean kept. Electronic target line took a minute to learn, once thst was down it was nice to be able to enter the distance we wanted to shot at and have the system take the target there. Didn't buy any guns, ammo, ammo was pretty expensive, but that has become somewhat normal these days.”

“Wonderful golf course, any level of player can enjoy this course. It just well maintained fairways and greens. Their flower garden is exceptionally beautiful, especially variety of lily, from the course entrance to back yard of dining terrace. Owner and other staff worked hard managed very well for this golf course better. I will come back definitely with other friends for playing and dining. Thanks for maintaining well this wonderful golf course.”
