“Went to the home depot yesterday, even had an appointment with their kitchen staff. Not one single person helped me, when I asked an employee if they could help me they said "depends." I have been to this do it best, probably, every day this last week and do not have a hard time finding an employee willing to help, most of them just acknowledge me as I walk around and ask if they can help me. While, the prices are higher than the big box stores, I am definitely happy to shop here because I feel valued as a customer AND I'm not wasting my time searching for products w/o assistance. The ambridge do it best has earned a loyal customer! Edit: I am also obsessed with all the "wanted" posters around the store of people that have shop lifted! Even had an in depth convo with an employee about how one woman looked so different in each of her photos that I did not think they were the same person! Also, pickles are incredible here (same brand the taphouse uses for their fried pickles!) And I got some of THEE BEST smoked salt here! Love that I can just buy products from other local small businesses while I am here!”

I needed help finding just the right flooring to go with the subway tile I wanted, help with designing a niche for the soap and shampoo, and help with a window treatment as we were replacing a window in that room as well. “We drove a fair distance to visit this At Home store, after visiting another At Home in the north east. We liked that store enough to search this location out. So we drove over 100 miles round trip just to visit this store. It was pretty much as expected. It was laid out basically the same as the first store we visited. But this location seemed nowhere near as organized. It was not by any means in disarray. But it wasn't all that well organized either. Anyway, for example, it felt like we had to dig through the piles in the picture section just to see what they were. Again, not every picture selection. But a lot of them seemed like, all different pictures in a stand up pile. It was like that in many store sections. But also is pretty minor. So most folks probably wouldn't even notice it, or think nothing of it. We might not have either if not for the nicer At Home that we visited first. So I am not holding it against them. The store seemed adequately clean. (other than some messy organization issues). They had buckets strategically placed (even having the floor marked with tape for at least one's placement) . So I wonder if they may have a roof that leaks, or a pipe, or something else, that they need catch cans for water. To be fair to At Home, we did just have a large amount of rain associated with a major storm. But I still find this store to be something that I can endure, since I am not a shopper. But I can accompany the wife here and not be overly board, because I can find things that at least get my attention. We did of course have a bunch of things that "just had to come home with us". And here's the real downside of this At Home. There was one register open, with a fairly long line (when we checked out). Maybe it was a bad day, but "THE" cashier, had pretty much zero personality. She just gave us unfriendly looks and said nothing. Well that was until she did utter words to offer us a credit card. Again maybe it was just a bad day. Maybe we somehow annoyed her. Maybe she didn't like our faces. I don't know. I might guess that maybe she's tired of being "THE" cashier, with a long line. Either way, it didn't leave a great impression of unnecessary waiting, only to get a (perceived) unfriendly attitude. Without a doubt, the first At Home in the north east seemed more inviting and organized. But this At Home would probably seemed much nicer, had we not experienced the other location first. But it wasn't drastically bad either. Will it be enticing enough for us to drive over 100 miles to shop here again? Maybe, maybe not. We'll see. But I can see us visiting again, probably more down the road.”

“Ultimately, Menards has an edge on Home Depot and even Lowe’s to some extent when it comes to product availability and price for the consistent quality of products. The Fort Hill Dr. Naperville Menards has always been a quality establishment with good employees that are respectful and helpful. No retail establishment will ever be perfect nor can it be, but I still appreciate this Menards for my various home maintenance needs. Just recently located in the parking lot of this Menards (December, 2023) there was a Mexican food truck by the name of The Gorditas Tacos. They have the best Cabeza tacos out of all of Chicagoland that we have tried to date! My fiancé and I have been trying Mexican food throughout Chicagoland for years and out of all of Chicago and the suburbs, this food truck has made the very best Cabeza tacos! I cannot find them on Google, but have requested an addition of this food truck to Google Maps.”

“I bought appliances from the Wallingford location back in May. We had a pleasant in store experience, however I don't remember the associate's name who helped us. In July, I decided to swap out one of the appliances (microwave/oven combo) for a double oven. When I called the store, I was connected to Alyssa in the appliances department. She helped me successfully exchange the appliance so it would be delivered the following month, without a change in price. She helped me place an order for the over the stove top vent as well, all over the phone. She emailed me receipts for all the transactions as well for my records. She provided clear answers for all of my questions and was an excellent communicator. Alyssa is a superb employee who goes above and beyond for her customers! I recommend her to anyone who needs appliances in the area!”

Called customer service to check the status on my order and I was assured that it will be delivered 2 hours past my window. I was willing to wait, 2 hours passed still no delivery. Called customer service again for an update and they tell me it has been rescheduled for 21 December 2023. Now you see my frustration I waited from 2 PM to 8 PM for my delivery and it never came. I lost my work wage because I took off half a day for this delivery. The delivery company never called communicate with me. So I cancelled my order. Home Depot outsourcing delivery is a joke. There’s no accountability on the delivery company. I should have been reimbursed for my lost time.”

“Patterson owned the rebuild of my garage after a fire. The work they did was excellent- they worked very quickly and made it look nicer than it did before the fire! There was a point during the process where their Project Manager was not responsive, however the issue was dealt with swiftly and they replaced the Project Manager quickly and things kept moving. I appreciated the effort they made to ensure the service level was kept high. I would recommend Patterson if you have a similar job and again I appreciate the work done to make my home whole again.”

“Great place been shopping at Menards for years. I gave Menards 4 stars cause we ordered a gas stove and deep freezer, we paid to have the gas stove delivered in the house the deep freezer we did not, since I was going to put the deep freezer on my screened in porch, I thought the guy would bring it into my screened in porch since it’s actually in the house. he wanted $20 to walk the deep freezer 6 feet into the screened in porch. I would not ever have anything delivered from Menards ever again, there delivery process sucks. It took me and my dad less then 30 seconds to bring the deep freezer in and I saved $20. Save money and deliver your stuff your self. We paid $100 for delivery”
