“What an amazing find! Just a delightful place, full of well look after healthy looking plants. Prices are so competitive too. Gorgeous trees and shrubs and plenty to choose from. Everyone was very freindly and helpful. The cafe was very spacious and serves the most amazingly tasty cakes ..yum! Was early morning when we visited but I couldn't resist a slice. Highly recommend a visit and will definately be returning very soon.”

“I loved this garden centre this Christmas 🎄 lovely plants but gifts of all kinds! Nice selection of books. The cafe was busy but the food was great and the tea for two was enormous! The waitresses were lovely, very friendly even though they were fun very busy. The food shop is really nice, I enjoy all the retro items. Nice collection of Christmas Dec's without being too samey as other places. Till staff friendly. All definitely be back.”

“This is an excellent garden centre and restaurant somewhat off the beaten track on the outskirts of Glasgow near Mearnskirk. The restaurant is ultra popular and busy. It is on the richer belt south side area and is well known by locals. A chance visit is fine but booking is advisable. It has an extensive menu. Soups , sandwiches,flatbreads, paninis, baked Potatoes,dinner type maincourses and a wide selection of Bakery and desserts to tempt the sweet tooth. Service is fast and staff are friendly and helpful.A fantastic dining experience for any time of day. There is an outside terrace for finer weather days with spectacular views looking westward toward Ben Lomond area. Well worth seeking out.”

“the garden centre is a lovely small family run garden centre with great prices and nice staff. the fishing lake is the best one around, can easily catch 100lbs of carp in a day the biggest weight i recall is 269lbs winning which is insane. i do wish they would publish either on facebook or their website the dates the lake is unavailable as it is a fair trek for some people. other improvement (which is quite easy to do) is some peg numbers including for outside of matches, all it requires is afew posts with metal plates showing numbers. had some amazing days fishing here”

“Our first roast Sunday lunch after the schools went back. As always, staff and food were lovely. Plenty to look at indoors and the plants (large outside area) are very healthy & reasonably priced. Well worth a couple of hours. Oh . . .dogs are welcome in the Garden Centre & in designated areas of the café. Outside seating available if weather is suitable”

“Well stocked with all your garden requirements. Good selection of healthy ,well grown plants, bushes and fruit tree. Best price and choice on bird tables, after checking at other nearby gardens centres. We actually bought one with a design we'd not seen before. The Cafe welcome us and our dog at an indoor seating area. Most others cafes make you sit outside ,which is not pleasant during cold, windy weather. Sunday roast was was on the menu at £11:99 without starter or pudding,both were available for those with big appetites. We've already planned our next visit.”

Yes I followed instructions to the letter the remaining four are healthy . I also ordered eighteen Salvia some were much healthier to the ones that arrived minus leaves that had been munched off . They do not answer emails just customers should follow instructions given . Will never place an order with this company ever again.”

“Langthorns Plantery is huge. They have every variety of flower, plant and cacti you could possibly need. They also have a large range of fruit trees, conifers and shrubs. Prices can vary depending on what you are looking for. The smaller Acer trees are £40 with the larger fruit trees costing up to £200. There are 2 car parks, a small one at the entrance and a larger area in the fields. Definitely worth a visit.”

“They sell a wide range of products, from plants to Christmas decorations and gardening equipment. However, people need to be very aware of their returns policy. Unless the product is faulty, they DO NOT allow refunds. They allow exchanges or credit notes but NOT refunds. This should be prominently displayed around the shop, on the website and on their Facebook page, but it is not. It has to be hunted for. The most prominent place it is displayed is at the bottom of the recipt - so you have to buy something before you discover you cannot return it. We purchased a Christmas tree base surround and it was fractionally too small to fit over the feet because of some of the wicker sticking out. This was not a good enough reason for a refund. It is clearly a money-grabbing exercise. Add to this the fact that the customer service is and always has been non-existent for the many years I've been going, it is no longer a place I would go to spend my money, especially when there are a number of other garden centres within the same area.”

“Lovely Garden Centre / Nursery on the outskirts of Maidstone. A Gem of a place. Such a great variety of plants. Nearly any type you could ever want. Huge selection. With loads of Indoor space if its raining. Also a fantastic coffee shop onsite to with lovely staff. A fab coffee shop with Indoor plants to buy too. They serve lovely cakes and all sorts of coffees. Lovely family time can be spent here. Staff are kind and helpful. Prices are pretty good too. Loads of pots and hanging baskets. Also many other products like water features and fire pits plus garden tools. Lots of deals all around. Worth a visit. Recommended”
