“Wow! What a beautiful and overwhelming experience to feel like you stepped back in time to one of the most amazing old-fashioned, general stores! We went a little crazy in there! Loved how they have groceries, prepared frozen food items, a deli, dozens of old-fashioned, hard-to-find candies and treats, home decor, furniture, personal care items, seasonal decorations, clothing, sports, hunting items, old-fashioned toys, gifts/novelty items and a museum too! I can’t believe it took us so many years to finally go there! How much can they contain in a beautiful, converted, red and White House?! We can’t wait to go back and take the whole family!”

“Hicks is beautiful. Plants are nice . Otto the ghist displays are great for kids. They are way over priced on their products. The staff at the fall activities are not very happy. No smiles, they just hand the children their sand art container or decorations for the pumpkins. The kids really dont notice but its obvious to the adults. They seem to gotten rid of their cafe that sold pues, coffee and hotchocolate, unless they moved it and i just didnt see it. Shame because the kids would have enjoyed it on cold wet day like today. The animal petting area was gone as well. They did have Otto walking around so that was nice.”

“Absolutely gorgeous property with a wide variety of plants and gardening supplies and accessories as well as decor and more! Felt like I stepped into another realm. It's magical there. Staff was friendly and everything looks well maintained and organized. I'm already looking forward to my next trip there. I've added photos of some of the beauties that caught my eye. You must go!”

“Just a great set of greenhouses to visit. They don't always have a huge vegetable selection but many many plants in general. Plus lots of exotic plants to see and some to buy. The prices are a bit too high for some of the items but if you look hard and know what you're doing, you can get some good deals.”

“As I walked to Shop Rite today I experienced a great Joy! I love my New City Shop Rite. It reminds me how blessed I am to live in New City. I go away for months to Europe and Florida. It is a neighborhood supermarket. The employees in all departments are always happy to assist you. The quality of products are excellent. The prices are the best you can find. “Beautiful high end and unique items here but many items are overpriced and found elsewhere. Christmas time is a beautiful time to see their beautiful displays, ornaments, home decorating items along with live wreaths, trees and plants, but not the same as when it was Martin Viette. The staff was not friendly. Walk back to the plant displays and you'll hear the birds in the enormous cage of parakeets, canaries and cockatiels.”

“When I was here, they were having a 50% off sale on a lot of k-pop albums! This is a great deal, but keep in mind that the original prices were more than usual to begin with. A lot of them ranged from $28-$40. As you enter the store, it looks like all they sell is kpop albums and merchandise... but they actually have books in Hangul too! My boyfriend likes to read Korean novels, so we spent a lot of time here! We price checked a couple of the books and it seems a lot of them are $2 less what you'd find on Amazon! Good deals! Reasonably priced. If you're looking for Korean books or books translated into Korean, this is a great place to checkout.”
