“We had 7 dishes for 5 adults, 1 child for a total of 50 Eur! A very unassuming and cosy place where locals come to eat. There is a small sign saying Girica outside the shop, and you will have to climb downstairs to enter the restaurant. We had octopus salad, risotto w scampi, grilled vegetables, fried anchovies, fried squid, forest fruits pancake, and fries for the little one. Generally all decent 👍 just was surprised that the dessert pancake came at the same time as the mains.”

“The staff of this restaurant is very friendly, but unfortunately a lot of it is not ideal. The food came to our table relatively quickly. We ordered deer steak with gnocchi and pork loin with croquettes, both in mushroom sauce. The venison steak was ok, nothing spectacular, but the gnocchi was overcooked, gooey. The loin was tasty, as were the croquettes, but they are very small. It would be better if it was more. What we didn't like about the main dishes was the very salty sauce. At first it seems very tasty, but later you realize how very salty it really is. For dessert we had a blueberry pie. Ugh, what a mistake. The dough tasted raw on the bottom, very floury, too many blueberries. Very tasteless actually. The worst of all is the stench in the toilet. Strong sewage smell inside. We paid about €42 for two main dishes, 1 dessert, beer 33 dcl and coca cola.”

“We had intended to self cater tonight but both of us could not work out how to operate an induction hob; even with instructions. Still; we took the opportunity to eat out and after a lot of research we found this bistro. The idea of a stew won Paulicarus over. The menu is not fixed and the waiter explains what dishes are on. He had me at a stew with lots of bread to soak up the sauce. Madge went for chicken with rice. Just right, not too much, not too little. Small beer to wash it down. Excellent find. Both inside and outside tables. Great meal for two with beers for 19.10€.”
