“This restaurant is upstairs. They do ask if you have reservations, but arrive right at opening time and good luck to get seated. Very friendly staff and great foods to match! No need to be expert at Japanese but a translation app does help a lot to understand the menu and to communicate any requests. Food arrives at a steady pace like mini courses after ordering. Lively atmosphere and great foods and drinks!”

The inside of the store was dirty, and I ordered the instant ramen, but it didn't have a deep flavor and I couldn't say it was delicious.It was just oily instant ramen, but it seems like the ramen was made with a lot of thought! The burnt rice is just oily and flavorless rice that is just burnt on a stone grill! I'm confident in the roasted pork and want to see it, but bacon or raw ham? I'm so fluent! ! The staff are unmotivated and are throwing towels while making the table. It's an unbelievable way to deal with customers! He just looks like he's reluctant! A store that only gives you heartburn”

“I was nervous to visit a public bath for the first time in Japan, but everything was smooth. This bath has instructions in English as well and other visitors ladies were helpful and nice showing me at some points what should I do. Entrance ticket 470 yen, and soap, towel and shampoo - 40 yen each. But I would recommend to bring your own towel, as the rented one is very small. Don’t need slippers, or a hairdryer. There is a hairdryer with coins available - 20 yen. So if you are ok with naked people and like sauna and jacuzzi, worth visiting. Very relaxing”

“Amazing wagyu beef rice sets, one of the best I’ve has so far in Japan. We tried the more fatty versions and it was DELICIOUS. Apart from the beef, the sauce is also a highlight of the dish. Crazy flavours and complements the beef really well. Another side dish I loved was the pickled vegetables and it was great even for me a vegetable-hater 😭 So so good, I would definitely visit again. Also, would recommend coming before the restaurant opens. We arrived right on the dot and there was already a long queue. We had to wait for about 30-45minutes for the first batch of customers to finish. However, tables turn fast so waiting time may vary.”

“Worth the Michelin recommendation! 😍 Curry rice was great (from their portion, to taste and spiciness) so it’s definitely a yes for me and most definitely for Kyoto-goers out here. I got to say they even made the effort to take their service to the next level by incorporating english menu and making sure their guests feel at home 🥰”
